I’m extremely disappointed with Big Motoring World and their extended warranty team. They are completely incompetent — nothing ever gets done properly. My case has been ongoing for months and still hasn’t been sorted out. No one takes responsibility or knows what’s going on. Terrible communication and zero professionalism.

I bought a ford Fiesta Model 2019 in 2024, 9 months later the belt inside the engine got damage and spoiled the engine, it was very disappointing because when I bough the car the seller never mention about this issue, from my point of view the belt do not can get significant damage in just 9th months after my purchase, it means the belt already had got some damage at the time I bought it, but they never give me a warning in regard to this matters, their priority was just sell the car rather than give enough information about the real condition of the vehicle, Then when I contact them to make a claim, they say that was my fault because I should check the belt and replace it, However They should tell me this at the time I bought the car not when I was doing the claim.
I'm frustrated because I believe they sold me a car with a known issue, withholding crucial information to complete the sale.

I had a great experience with my sales executive Samuel, he made the process really simple and gave me some great advice with purchasing my first car!

Went through the whole process of buying a car ,was told price for my part exchange car,but when I arranged finance and went to pay and take car was told they would only give me half of price they told for my car ,if you don't want all the rubbish extras and take their finance they just difficult, you be better off just going to a approved main dealer than these charlatans,it's your money spend it wisely.

After 3.5 hours of enduring all the hard sell of their over priced warranties etc, I finally got to drive my new car off the forecourt. 15 minutes later the tyre pressure warning light came on as they’d sold me a car with a slow puncture. Despite having it fixed and reinitialising the pressure, the light comes on again every time I drive it. I’ve been offered an appointment to have it looked at in 2 weeks time at their garage 50 miles away.
They also sold me a car without a parcel shelf - silly me for expecting a complete vehicle.
Never again! Back to the very efficient and low pressure Cinch next time.

Purchased a Volkswagen tiguan and was advised to take out the extended warranty by the salesman as in his words the warranty given with the car by Big Motoring World isnt worth the paper its written on. Turns out neither is the warranty I was sold. Needed to make a claim as the engine light came on. You have to speak to them to get them to agree to take it to an independent garage or kwik fit/Salfords garage. As their garages the closest one to Enfield is either SW17 or a trip round the M25 towards Kent. So you have to then pay for the diagnostics test by the garage as warranty does not cover that. So my fault was that the Glow plug module had failed and caused the glow plugs to fail. So in total my repair bill was £479. The warranty company would only pay £161 of it. This is apparently because the tge plug module failed they are not then responsible for the fact it caused other parts to fail. Annoyingly one of the plugs alone was £128 due to having a sensor. Then less the £75 excess you have to pay. Even though on the big Motoring World website they claim it eradicates any un expected costs you would need to pay (lies).
Basically do not take their extended Warranty. To copy the words of the salesman "its not worth the paper its written on "

After 2 months still waiting for refund of £500 deposit from Enfield branch after transaction aborted. When I chase I cannot get through on the phone. When my call is eventually answered by a human I am put on hold and then cut off 5 mins later. Advice from on-line service was to phone the branch.
The original transaction was aborted by me, when on collection of the car the salesman informed me it was subject to a manufacturer's recall. He had failed to tell me this the previous day when he took my order & deposit. Nether the salesman nor his manager could explain what was the nature of the recall or why they had failed to tell me earlier. I cancelled the order and was promised a full refund would be processed the following day.

PSA: Please do your due diligence, research Big Motoring World Company before buying. 1 star is too nice, if i could give 0 stars. I would actually give 5 stars for salesmen brilliant Oscar worthy sales and the cutsie coffee/milkshake bar designed to entice customers and keep them there especially when you spend 5 hour's of your life there....
The lowdown: AVOID!!! The service is sloppy! Car handed over with a cracked windscreen, dog hair inside central glove box, not valeted properly or at all, and a hard sell on a useless warranty. Do not buy their warranty, go get your own. Which they try to hard sell the useless warranty plus other additions.

Car is already booked into their repair garage as the charging port doesn't lock or open properly so they obviously didnt check that as they were supposed to!! And the light on the dash has already come up with a high voltage warning message and I cannot get it seen to till 3 weeks time!!! Absolute shambles again because this is the 2nd car from the same company and it's happened on both cars where I've had to report problems on the day of driving the car away from the forecourt

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I purchased a vehicle from Big Motoring World at the end of August and the service I have received has been the worst I have ever experienced. Big Motoring World sold me a faulty vehicle - one tyre has a puncture, service lights were coming on during my journey home, the vehicle was dirty inside, and the battery will not charge (despite it being a hybrid). I have emailed and called them, with little to no response. I have now submitted a formal complaint, and have today been informed by Arun that it is my responsibility, despite under the Consumer Rights Act, I have the right to return it as still within 30 days. They are not 'big' on customer service, or selling vehicles that are fit for purpose. Despite there being lots of very positive reviews here, don't be fooled. If you ever have an issue, they won't respond, and you will be left to pick up the cost of any work that is required. I have now escalated my complaint, and will go to the Motoring Ombudsman if I do not get a response I am satisfied with.
UPDATE
Following their ridiculous response - taking ZERO responsibility for the fact the tyre pressure light came on during my journey home and I sent them evidence within 3 days - this only further proves that Big Motoring World are the worst company to deal with. Since I left this last night, I have seen that Big Motoring World featured on The One Show, and there is a dedicated Facebook group about the service others have received from them. I have seen countless people taking them court and I am considering doing the same!

I purchased a Peugeot 3008 from Big Motoring World in Enfield on the 23/09 and was very impressed with the service I received. The entire process was smooth and efficient, with clear communication at every stage. Keith, who assisted me with the purchase, was excellent – knowledgeable, approachable, and extremely helpful in ensuring everything went through without issue. I’m very pleased with both the service and my new car, and would happily recommend Big Motoring World.

This is a big company with streamlined procedures - very impressive. Emrah, the Sales Executive who took us on the test drive, was helpful, well-informed and polite. Memati, as Handover Adviser, efficiently organised the transfer of ownership and DVLA paperwork that allowed us to complete purchase of our new second-hand car and part-exchange of our old vehicle in one afternoon. Prior to our visit we were easily able to reschedule appointment time.
Various quite expensive 'extras' were offered, including extended warranties linked in to main dealers.
We would observe that we were told in advance that our old car had no resale value, but in the event we were able to part-exchange for a moderate sum; we might have done better to get an accurate quote (rather than just an online one) from We Buy Any Car just down the road before doing our negotiation. Also to note, second-hand cars are generally sold here without floor mats and parcel shelves, unless these are shown in the advert for the car (as stated on the website).
Our overall takeaway is that buying a second-hand car has changed out of all recognition and there are real benefits to operating on such a large scale.

When I collected the car the interior smelled mouldy which did not exist when I test drive the car. Interior was not valeted.
I had a one hour drive home and mid journey, low tyre pressure alarm went off.
After 45 minute drive, it became increasing difficult to change gears and clutch because very soft.
I am currently in the process of trying to get it fixed permanently. I just hope it's not going to be a short term fix until warranty runs out!
RAC informed me that they were called for the same issues earlier this year.

Just purchased black bmw 1 series 2022. From the beginning walking into the sales area, the fact that the staff dont jump on you, dont make you feel pressured into anything . Onur was the man who supported me with breaking down what I was looking for, considered my budget took me around my shortlisted and provided me with pros and cons for both of my favourite cars. He appreciated that I wanted to take some time to think it over. So put a reservation fee down on my fav and came back the next day. He was friendly, supportive and put no pressure whatsoever. Once decision was final, he handed us over to collections where Ali was very swift in supporting me with the rest of the admin stuff tax ext. Both were gentlemen and very friendly, supportive and helpful. The 1 thing that was a little tiny bit frustrating was the waiting around; which I don't think was anyone particulars fault but like whilst was waiting to do the paperwork I thought it was being valeted, then when I get to collections it still hadn't been valeted and we had been there for 3 hours with 2 young boys just couldn't wait any longer so didn't get valeted in the end. A little bit more speed once decisions are final might make the waiting around bit feel a bit less long. But overall Onur and Ali!!! Both amazing guys...my mum will be coming back for her purchase in a few months asking for you! Thank you.
