A pair of walking shoes was ordered and…

A pair of walking shoes was ordered and only then was it apparent that they appeared to be coming from China. After a delay, emails to Webtogs have not been responded to. The tracking shows that the parcel was delivered but nothing has been received apart from a small packet containing a dress ring which did appear to come from China. How do we get a refund for goods which are obviously not going to be delivered and where we have maybe been scammed via the Webtogs site?

Illegal refusal of return

Paid for goods. Wanted to return due to poor quality. No returns address provided. Returns portal won't accept order number. Webtogs acquired by Brand Alley. Returned items to brand alley. Items sent back to me. 3 months. F*g joke.

Loved Webtogs up until April 2023

Loved Webtogs up until April 2023. They were a really top quality online store for outdoor clothing. But now the website has changed and appears to be part of a site called "Brand Alley" which has none of the stuff I loved, and instead is full of generic rubbish. A sad day to lose one of my favorite trusted online stores :-(

rubbish customer service

Agree with the recent negative review. Bought a pair of roclites, g400 wore them once for 20km.. goretex liner came loose. Those reviews about durability, clearly nonsense. Raised customer complaint whilst they were still webtogs, sent photos, all within 14 days, now they’ve gone silent. Wish I’d paid that tenner more from a reputable bricks and mortar. Buyer beware!

The company is stopped refunding to their customers!!!

The company is stopped refunding to their customers for returned items.
Made an order a month ago. The item was sent back the very next day. The whole return process took over a month for item to be delivered back to retailer. When emailed asking about refund, this is what I have received back:

We are pleased to share with you that BrandAlley has bought certain assets of Internet Fusion Group, the parent company of WebTogs.
 
During this period of change, warranty claims can no longer be processed or refunds actioned.

The aforementioned companies are no longer trading, and the websites of these companies are not currently operational.

For customers wishing to process the return of goods previously purchased, we can accept those returns but are not in a position to refund the cost of those goods. Again, customers in this position should seek recovery of their monies through a Section 75 of the Credit Consumer Act claim or through a chargeback claim and contact their card provider in order to lodge such a claim.

This is insane! They are referring their customers to the bank for a refund via chargback.

Top Notch Service

Best price I could find for the boots I was looking for. Delivery was for Friday latest but arrived on the Tuesday before. Product appears to be good quality and comfortable. Looking forward to trying them out.

Wrong sizing

Oredered 3 items
Arrived on time. Decent prices.
The most expensive was a $63 Ronhill windbreaker.
They all arrived while I was out of town. When I did try them on, they fit great, except the Ronhill . I am Large for jacket sizing. Never had a problem anywhere for generic sizes except from clothing from China in general. This jacket was a Medium.
I contact customer service and they were prompt and polite. I had to send pictures.
They said to send back for a refund.
In the link, in the fine print, it stated it had to be < 30 days after delivery. It was over that by this time. It also required a special service and fee to ship back to the UK. I am in the US.
When I responded that I saw the fine print, customer service said,'Oh Yes, you cannot send it back. Too late.'
So I am stuck with a way too small expensive jacket.
The cost of this episode certainly cancels any benefit from other Webtog pricing or free shipping.
BTW just checked...same jacket now offered at 30% less.
But I wont be ever using them again.
