Stay away from yellow van Company

This company is run by people who are less than transparent in their dealings with the public.
I booked a van on 17 August 2025 to help me move, they charged me £192 for the van and one driver to help plus taking into account that my positions have to be moved from the second floor of a block of flats with no lift, I do not have any furniture, everything was in suitcases, a couple of boxes and several strong large moving bags, total individual items were 18. The van was booked for 23 August at 1:30pm. At 1:40 no sight of any van so I checked the confirmation email to see if there was any contact number, there was not, but what I did notice was a disclaimer, in tiny print of course, which said that the booking time was not a booking time but a “preferred time” and that the actual time could be within one hour, so as I’d booked for 1:30pm this meant that the van could arrive any time up to 2:30pm, fair enough, but a bit slippery that this company didn’t mention any of this until you’ve paid and then it was only in fine print in the confirmation, anyway about 5 minutes later at 1:47pm I got a call from the van driver who told me he was in Chelmsford and it would take him at least two hours to get to me in Hanwell! I lost it, I was not rude but i told him I wanted to speak to someone in authority and told him to tell his superiors that I would be putting the charge into dispute with my credit card company and whilst I’d be happy to pay half the £192 fee I would not accept paying it all, it should be said that during the this time from 1:30 onwards I was moving all the bags and boxes downstairs myself which would have meant by the time the van driver arrived 3:45pm or whatever he’d have nothing to carry down stairs, which is one of the things I’d paid for. A few minutes later a “manager” called me, I said your driver tells me he will be another two hours at least, what are you going to do about that? this man says to me “what do you mean?”, I said hang on I’m speaking English and I think it’s clear what I mean, the man started, as I expected, to harp on about the one hour window, I cut him short and said yes I read about your disclaimer and the one hour window but this will be two hours at least and very possibly considerably more given that this weekend is a bank holiday and moreover the Notting Hill Carnival is on today and tomorrow all day. He insisted that it wasn’t his or his company’s fault, I told him if it’s not your fault and it’s not my fault that’s okay but you need to understand that I will be calling my credit card company and discussing a reduction in the payment to your company. He said well we can cancel it if you want, he said this because he thought that it would intimidate me into accepting the way things had turned out, but I wasn’t going to do that, I said okay. So he says I’ll call you back in five minutes. I need to speak to my manager. I thought this guy was a manager but maybe he’s not a big enough manager to do anything, he eventually calls me back and says yes we will give you your full refund
 and I say you mean the £192 because the actual fee for the van was made up of £180 for the van and driver and £12 for fuel, which of course was never used and o
I wasn’t going to let them get away with scamming me out of the £12 fuel fee, I kept on reiterating to him, are you going to pay me my £192 back, he kept on saying give me a minute, give me a minute, eventually he relented and used the words you will get your £192 back, I was recording the call anyway and he knew it. I am still waiting to see the refund paid back to my credit card but I will only wait 5 days and if I don’t see it I will then issue a dispute with my card company and also consider filing a small claim against this company for further damages. These people are total scammers and should be avoided at all cost by everyone in my opinion, I know that the next thing they will try to do is to get this review removed by demanding that I verify who I am, I have the recording of the call, and of course I will forward that to Trustpilot should I need to, i have the confirmation Email for the booking even though it was booked to another of my email addresses it is still me!
To Yellow Van Company, I am many things but one thing I will never be is afraid, not of you people, not of anyone, make sure my money comes back to me pronto or I will use the full force of the law against you. of course was never used and

Extremely disappointed with the…

Extremely disappointed with the service. Two inexperienced movers took an excessive amount of time dismantling furniture, only to leave everything dumped in the driveway, claiming their time was up. When I contacted their manager, he was unhelpful and rude, refusing to let the team move the items into the garage. Would not recommend.

Timely, Fast, Careful, flexible

We used The Yellow Van Company for our move last weekend. Patrick and Dean were our assigned crew and they were tremendous. The concierge in our new building even took their info to recommend them as he saw how fast but also careful they were. Will use them when we have to move back (temp move due to renovation).

Had Damian & Naresh last week for a move that required multiple stops. They made moving so much less stressful than it would otherwise have been. Incredible attitude and efficiency. Appeared relaxed even though they didnt even stop for breaks or lunch. I dont know how Luke manages to consistently secure decent lads on his team but well done. Have been a customer of their's for 20 odd years and would not use anyone else for small to medium removals. Brilliant!

Arrived 7 hours later than my booking

Arrived 7 hours later than my booking. I had booked this for midday to avoid the traffic going out of London, as it was a Friday and wanted to avoid the weekend commute, as the drop off was in Kent. They called to say that they were running extremely late and very kindly offered me a 10% discount. I explained that the booking would take longer now, as it was happening in rush hour and they said not to worry about that and I would not be charged due to the lateness. The lads arrived exhausted, I ended up doing most of the work. As predicted the journey took much longer, about 35 mins more. Midway through unloading, they informed me that my time was up, as I had only paid for four hours. I informed them that their manager had said not to worry about the overtime and would not be charged. They accused me of lying and refused to continue, leaving me at 10 o’clock at night with a loading bay full of my goods.

Wow 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Highly recommend Luke & his Team

Wow 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟We used Luke and his team yesterday for our move, to say we were anxious as we needed to not only move from AtoB but also make a stop on the way to our storage unit to collect more items all of which was made stress free and simple. The 2 guys Alex & Nuresh arrived earlier than expected which was great and got to work straight away, moving furniture and boxes from our flat on the first floor, it amazed me how much they manage to pack into thier van, they are obviously the experts 😎 We highly recommend Luke & his team and thank them for making a stressful time easy, quick and extremely professional.

I recently used the services of Alex…

I recently used the services of Alex and Dean from Yellow Van for my move, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, they were professional, efficient, and incredibly friendly. They took great care with all my belongings, ensuring everything was packed, handled, and transported with precision and care. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they worked tirelessly to make what is usually a stressful experience completely hassle-free.

The Yellow Van Company were wonderful…

The Yellow Van Company were wonderful in handling our move. Alex and Naresh were professional, courteous and so so efficient! Moving day is a particularly stressful day but their great attitudes put us at ease, and every item was delivered perfectly (they handled the boxes with great care). Amazing service from start to finish

Amazing service from start to finish, great movers, accommodated me and my partner and even disassembled stuff and out it back together at delivery, very good chat in the van and could not recommend any more than i already do to anyone.

Terrible company and service

Terrible company and service.

The van driver was rude, literally threw my items into the van and kept stalling for time and trying to charge me extra. Awful - will never use these guys again.
