Useless

Useless. Utterly useless.

Left me without hot water and heating for 3 months. And now take forever to release my deposit back to me.

If the house you're looking to rent from is associated in ANY way to Sequence, even if it is your dream home, do yourself a favour and avoid it completely.

If you're a landlord and Sequence have dream tenants for you, avoid them completely.

I just wish I had seen these reviews before moving in.

we have no choice as these are your estate agents choice of maintenance, I'm in the building game so hardly bother them but when you do you have to expect complete incompetence, a lack of caring and not even able to uphold their poor service, which is saying something, almost impossible to contact (even if it's an emergency!) absolute waste of time and air! only time you hear from them is if your rent is late, which ours is every month as we changed the direct debit date, with their approval, still mail us each month, you just can't make up how poor this company is!!!!

Sequence are a waste of human soul.

Sequence, f******useless c***s. Who runs this f****** s**t show? During this “Pandemic” they ain’t got the f****** right mind to come and Sort the boiler out. We pay £940 a month and we can’t stay clean for our new born and 5 year old with asthma with all that’s going on in the world. This will go to the press and we will be claiming from your waste of life company. Email me before you start losing money. Be prepared for a fun phone call c***s, I will do my best to make you cry for all the s**t you have put us through.

Awful experience

Awful experience. 4 weeks to get boiler repaired and left with no hot water, despite the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 stating that I have the right to expect the landlord to carry out repairs in a ‘reasonable time’. If it’s an emergency repair as in no heating or hot water, my landlord or yourselves should fix this in 24 hours.

Complaints ignored by the senior lettings co-ordinator and now trying to complain to head office. If you are thinking of renting privately please AVOID using this shower! You will get nothing but poor service and no customer care whatsoever

Terrible just terrible

Terrible just terrible. This company might as well fire all its staff and no one would notice any difference. After so many bad experiences with the branch I had to deal with their property management team in liverpool to realease my deposit going into my 2nd month now and still nothing. Everytime I would call i realise that there was nothing done and I would have to literally drive each employee to do their job and move with the process and I get assured that all is done and I should receive my money in 2 days and nothing happens and I call again and do the whole thing again and again and still I never received my bond. They are the worst. This company should be sued really. Shame on you all property management team.

We've had a terrible experience so far

We've had a terrible experience so far, and don't have much hope, we have numerous problems in our rented flat and they're extremely slow at appointing contractors. I could go on but there is so much that has happened. Even the senior's ignore your calls and emails. We're lost for words :(

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking, please avoid. This company is connected to Shipways who for a fixed fee, find our tenants. However, unknown to us, Sequence homes change the electricity supplier without our knowledge or our tenants knowledge. This has resulted in us getting an invoice from an electricity supplier we’ve never heard of and we end up having a bad debt recorded against our credit rating. This in turn reduced our credit score which has been in the top 2% of the country and has now dropped to the top 5% through no fault of our own.
The next thing we find is that Sequence are contacting our tenants asking them if they want to renew their tenancy without our knowledge. We do any tenancy renewals ourselves and Sequence are now causing our tenants to have concerns as to whether their tenancy is safe!!
Worse still, when you phone Sequence, they are extremely rude and deny any knowledge of their interference.
Landlords, avoid this company at all costs.

Fantastic customer service

This is the first time for me living in a private letter home. I suffer from sever anxiety and it triggered massively as the renewal process of my tenancy started as I have never been through this before and became really flustered with part of the new tenancy agreement that didn’t make sense. I emails Hannah O’Neil a hand full times, I must have sounded really thick not understanding one simple part of the tenancy agreement, but she was so kind and helpful and confirmed everything for me and really settled my anxiety for me. I can not thank this lady enough. You deserve a box of chocolates and a bunch of flowers!

Fellow landlords

Fellow landlords: DO NOT GO with this management company, they are extremely expensive, their whole attitude is they couldn't care a less. Finished my contract due to all the problems I had, My tenant moved his girlfriend in over two years ago, after fussing to have her added onto the tenancy agreement I was met with a brick wall, I gave up and spent sleepless nights worrying about it. I have now finally got her on the tenancy agreement but have been charged two hundred pounds! It would have been a lot less two years ago. Altogether unhelpful and difficult to deal with. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Ending my contract with them resulted in them telling me I wanted to end the tenancy, I had to write to our tenants to assure them that this was not the case. Awful experience. I am now taking it to the Property Ombudsman.

cruel liars

absolutely the most scandalous and untrue reference I have ever received. As an autistic 26 year old, with other needs, this is my second home since becoming independent at 18. I would NEVER advice ANYONE rent through sequence. Having been up to date with payments consistently, polite, forthcoming and agreeable at all opportunities, unfortunately due to the covid crisis we had to move from our property managed by sequence. Having IGNORED the request for a reference for over a week, at the very last minute before needing to move the provided the most disgusting lies. According to them (but not my bank) they do not advice to let to me. This is despite living in their damp ridden, bodge-job, over-priced house for 10 months at great expense. I am appalled at how they could produce such a blatant lie when we have decorated and cleaned the property far above the standard to which it was found (it was vile). To leave two disabled adults with such a cruel lie of a reference when they were due to move house the very next day, after ignoring correspondences for over a week is appalling. do not rent through this company if you expect to be treated fairly of with basic human decency.

I went with them because they were the cheapest. I have spent several hours sorting out problems every month. They don't reply to emails and have kept overcharging me.

AVOID ANY BUSINESS WITH SEQUENCE UK LTD

If I could give zero stars I would have.

I have waited in excess of six months for the return of my tenancy deposit. Through no fault of my own, just poor/none existent communication from Sequence UK LTD.

Useless customer support and regularly fail to hold promises made, including updates and returning phone calls.

Don’t assume they will do anything useful for you, they won’t.

Avoid at all costs, literally nothing they offer is worth wasting you time for. Read all of the other reviews and they only share my personal opinions.

Useless, incompetent, rude, and generally bad at their jobs.

I have had nothing but bad experiences with the Pontcanna branch of this truly incompetent company.

When I have needed things fixed, it has taken a stupid amount of time, communication has been none existent, and staff are unhelpful and often unsure of what they are talking about. In my first year of tenancy, I was left for a month without a washing machine.

Yet, when - after 2 years of tenancy - they realised they had allowed me to move in and live with a boiler set up that does not comply with safety standards, and had only realised at the last minute, just before my contract was due to be renewed, they panicked and harassed me for contact.

I told a member of staff that I was going on holiday the following week, yet received a phone call from them at 4AM on my end.

I had told them I would contact them when I returned from holidays, yet on the very day I had flown in, when I was trying to sleep, due to having landed in the early hours, I received a barrage of phone calls, where as soon as one ended, a new call would start.

I received constant calls while in work, and throughout this time, I consistently told them they to contact my flatmate. She is just as capable of handling this as I am, even though I am always the person they bother.

2 days later, they sent an email accusing me of refusing to allow access, and being in breach of my tenancy agreement, and threatening to cut off my gas supply.

When the tenant needs something done, they drag their feet and fail to communicate and take their sweet time to do anything about it, yet when they make an error, they expect the tenant to jump to their will and work on their schedule.

I don't know, or care, how they treat their landlords, but where tenants are concerned, they are absolutely useless. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid the "lifelong membership". It's worthless.

Avoid the "lifelong membership", it's worthless. My mortgage renewal came up and I contacted Sequence. I got no response. I contacted them again and still no response. I then had a call from a call centre and told them I had tried to contact the broker at my local Fox & Sons branch but had no reply. She gave me another contact. I called them, and the best rates they found for me were worse than I had already found myself online.
