Born out of our love of travel, Paper High began as a round-the-world trip. An unexpected change in destination, an extended stay in Kathmandu, and a chance meeting with a paper maker sowed the seed of an exciting business idea. After exploring India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, we built relationships with our beloved network of small family businesses, community incentives, charities, and accredited Fair Trade organisations. We’ve seen first-hand the impact that using a Fair Trade business model has on the families, communities, and local economy of our producers. This made it an absolute must for us that we have a mutually beneficial relationship, and we consider them real friends. We’re so lucky to have the chance to visit them as often as we can to catch up on all the news, and take our two girls along too. It’s our promise to you that all of our products are Fair Trade as set out by the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO). Expertly handcrafted by highly skilled artisans, only locally sourced, sustainable, and recycled materials are used wherever possible, making every single product beautifully authentic. We’ve also been proud members of the British Association for Fair Trade Shops (BAFTS) since 2002 – right from the beginning!

I ordered a wire chicken for my newly gravelled garden. What a lovely surprise when I opened the parcel. It was bigger than I thought it would be which was a bonus but it's beautifully made. The detail is amazing. I'm so pleased with it! It arrived quickly and well packaged. I'll be using Paper High again.

Ridiculous item at ridiculous price
The item is expensive, more expensive than most expensive branded product. We were expecting a wonderful notebook. instead, it is a cumbersome product to use. paper bound together as sloppy and unprofessional as a work of a 7 years old. It is a ridiculous product at ridiculous price. I wonder what planet are these people from and how on Earth they think this type of product is commercially viable. They can trick people using shinny glossy website and all the big wordings only once, not twice.

Due to the handmade nature, they are going to be a little ‘distressed’ looking and won’t be completely perfect as they would if they were mass produced, or factory made. We also make sure that we use no chemicals on our products meaning that marks, blemishes, creases, and imperfections are going to be expected. We find that our customers usually like the rustic and distressed nature of our journals, but we understand that this is not for everyone. I can assure you it is never our intention to mislead customers in our product descriptions. Our goal is to be as accurate as possible to avoid disappointment for our customers. Our Buffalo Leather Journals are ethically handcrafted by the incredibly talented artisans at Handicraft Villa in India which is a time consuming and very skilful task. The price reflects the hard work and craftsmanship that goes into making our journals. It also goes towards supporting the suppliers and giving the workers a better life. We don’t like to hear our customers are unhappy, so we made sure we contacted you straight after seeing your review. If you need any further assistance, please feel free to reply to our email.

My wife ordered two wire robins as a gift for a bereavement and paid extra for the gift “wrapping” service. The gift arrived and was left unattended on the door step without the courier attempting to ring the doorbell. Strangely the order arrived in two boxes within a brown bag, one box contained the two robins and the other contained the wrapping paper. Go figure!! The gift card with our condolences was missing so the recipient had no idea who the gift was from. Under the circumstances this shocking level of service and lack of attention to detail ruined the sentiment of the gift. A refund for the postage and wrapping paper was of little consolation.
Shame on you!

Firstly, the service your wife received is inexcusable and I’m extremely disappointed, shocked and surprised this happened. I sincerely apologise. We will be in contact with DPD regarding the delivery service as this is not what we expect. We will also review our in-house gift wrapping service to ensure this never happens again. We have contacted your wife directly to apologise and have now fully refunded her order, as we should have done at the start, as well as sent her a £15 gift card with no expiry date. Kept up to date on status of order and which courier was delivering (Royal Mail). Received my parcel today, in excellent condition. All down to sufficient shredded paper packaging plus a cardboard sleeve. The mirror is perfect. Well done Paper High - the bonus is that it's also Fair Trade which is also important to me. Great products for the price, and I'm happy to buy into this company's ethos. Can't complain at all about these things.
One thing I would improve: when the bags are delivered it would be helpful if the product codes were on each as my lovely staff will have no idea what I've ordered and they have to refer to the website for clues.

We took delivery of our XL stitched leather photo album. To say we are delighted would be an understatement.
We purchased the album to record the slow but steady refurbishment of our home. To remain with the property in its next incarnation with its new owners, although we have absolutely no intention of handing it over in the very long future. Built 1927 and updated along the way; it's only our part of the story from 2014 we can record.
The album is perfect for its purpose!
