Great Experience with Nick
I had the pleasure of working with Nick on my auto warranty on two cars, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. He was patient, clear, and thoughtful about helping me make the right decision. What stood out most was how easy he made everything, no pressure, no confusion, just straightforward, professional service with a personal touch. It’s rare to come across someone who combines expertise with that kind of sincerity. Thanks, Nick, for making the process smooth and easy for me.

Rip off -- NOVA EXtended Warranty
The existing reviews I have read all praise their sales rep, who sold them the extended policy. That will be good for the rep to include in his resume for their next sales rep job, but it has nothing to do with the value of the product, an extended repair warranty on your used car.
My review is of the warranty contract and the coverage it gave me for my car engine repair.
To summarize, all I can say is Nova Extended Warranty is a complete fraud and scam.
My car engine began using oil as I drove south across several states. I never drive above the speed limit because i do not want my engine to exceed 2,000 rpm. That is the "sweet" spot for the maximum gas mileage. I always check the engine oil at every refueling. I began to notice it was necessary to add new oil with every gas-up stop. The amount started at 1/4 quart, then 1/2, and finally a full quart with every 8 or more gas refills.
After around 2,000 miles of the trip, my car's check engine light came on, and a message was displayed in the speedometer message area, "The engine is running on reduced power". I then noticed it was difficult to get the engine to maintain the normal 2,000 rpm. After nursing the car along for 15, 20 more miles, I was able to exit the interstate and find a GM dealer in the small town. When the service department manager contacted the Nova Warranty service department, he was told NOVA Warranty required a certified mechanic's diagnosis and estimate of the parts and labor cost of the necessary repair. As the car's engine would then no longer start, it was necessary for the mechanic to make a visual inspection by removing the covers and plumbing on top of the engine. I was informed that the Charge for doing this would be $535.00. I contacted NOVA Warranty. I was told they would not pay for this work to inspect and diagnose the engine problem. That i would have to pay the $535.00 to prepare the diagnosis and estimate document. I did pay the $535.00 to get to the cause of the engine failure. When the mechanic did the diagnosis work, he discovered the timing chain had broken and caused the camshaft and valves to radically get out of time with the engine rotation and cause extensive internal damage to the insides of the engine and these parts. Many parts had collided and been broken, scored, or damaged.
When the response of the Nova Warranty Company was to totally not allow any repayment or further payment for the repair. The explanation they gave the Service manager when he called them and asked for an explanation was " the oil had been contaminated with bits of metal and shavings, thereby causing the warranty to be voided by this clause in the warranty contract." The following is a direct copy of the dis allowance letter I received.

I, and any amateur mechanic who has inspected an engine that has had an internal catastrophic failure, know that any internal timing or breakage of internal engine parts causes metal scrapings and or fragments to contaminate the oil inside the engine.
It was obvious to me and the mechanic, the GM dealer service manager, and the Dealership owner to see that the wording of the NOVA Warranty is a way for NOVA to deny coverage of 99% of automotive engine breakdowns and repairs.
NOVA Extended Warranties are a worthless scam and rip-off. Regardless of the good feelings the salesperson gives you,
to get you to sign the purchase agreement.

Nick was very knowledgeable and listened to all my questions and had the info I needed. Very pleasant and clear voice. Very easy to work with. THANKS
Professional, accurate and upfront service
I was actively researching vehicle warranty companies. After Nova came up on a couple of ‘best of’ searches I contacted them.
Kevin Parker called me back and left an accurate voice mail and a text message that were ‘hey, this is who we are, we can answer your questions and take care of the issue’ type of responses. This told me the were ethical above board.
When I called back, they called by my first name right away. I didn’t have to explain everything - all the details of my vehicle. We talked about what type or level of coverage I wanted and he gave me a price. BAM - the cat was out of the bag. So many other companies I’d talked to were disorganized, only had one coverage plan, or weren’t up front with their prices.
I look forward to receiving the policy to review and continuing to do business with Nova.
