I had the opportunity to pick up the bike directly at the factory where I was welcomed by Federica from customer care (kind and knowledgeable). The site is truly fantastic. I asked to change the handlebar (an aesthetic choice) and they accommodated me. The very skilled mechanic made the replacement and a test. I tried the bike on site and it was a surprise beyond my expectations. After a week of use, I can say: comfortable bike, very light, fast, practical, durable, dynamic, versatile in every condition. Powerful brakes. High quality frame and components. No detail was overlooked. A true high-quality Italian bike. I used it to go to the padel club, to do grocery shopping (the right accessories are important), to go to work, for training. It is a very sporty urban bike with a frame that is still comfortable. The FSA motor with torque sensor together with the SRAM 11-speed gear allows you to manage battery duration by balancing effort between legs and motor. This is a bike that allows a cyclist to train by extending their distance and average elevation, for those who want to start approaching cycling, for those returning from injury, for all ages. Anyway the waiting was real suffer if you can't wait to receive your new bike. :-) I can compare with recently purchased Fiido for my mom, where the bike came within few days since order placed. But I understand if Noko had to build the bike first. Anyway, there could be some stock to shorten the waiting time. Delivery by Fedex was super fast and courier helped me with the box into my car.

Thanks for getting back to me. I just want to stress again that the damages were definitely not caused by an external impact. That’s why I’m going through the warranty. If it had been an external issue, I would have used our bike insurance, which also covers repair costs.
We really have no interest in sending the bike back and forth to Italy — all we want is a bike that works and can be used reliably. Right now, though, it spends more time standing around or in the repair shop than on the road.
I do appreciate your support, but in this case I also expect it. Since the bike is now repaired, I’ve been asked to pay 100 EUR for the shipping back to Germany. I can’t accept this, given the circumstances.
I’d kindly ask you to cover the return shipping under warranty so we can finally put this issue behind us and enjoy the bike as it should be.
Update 17.09.2025:
Indeed, after some further discussions, Noko has returned the bike without any further costs. Thanks for that. The bike has arrived and makes a good impression. We very much hope it stays like this. I can just repeat that there has not been any improper use. For us this topic is closed now as I have been instructed by Noko to not contact them any further via WhatsApp. I very much hope that we only had bad luck and that there will not be any further problems.

Our technical assessment by our engineering team indicates that the issue originated from improper use, which led to damage to the rear derailleur. That said, in the interest of resolving the situation quickly and ensuring your satisfaction, we replaced all necessary parts and completed the repair at no charge, treating it as a warranty case.
In short: you were not charged for the repair nor for shipping, even though, based on the findings, it would have been possible to do so. Our goal was to get you back on the road as soon as possible.

Grinta components are working fine. Noko light is an excellent commuter, as it is light enough to be driven with no motor assistance, and the 36 Nm are just fine for efortless small city climbs.

Nokolight weighs 2,3kg more than announced - no refund!!!!
I specifically asked for the weight of the bike and what was included (e.g. pedals, battery) before the purchase. They confirmed that the bike weighs 12.8gk which is super light. so i bought the bike, waited quite a bit (way more than the 2 weeks they "try" to keep). After recieving the bike i was shocked to see that it weighs a bit more then 15kg (so not exceptional but quite average). I asked customer service. they answered that indeed they just found out that the bike weighs more than 2kg more than the original "prototype". They refused any reduction or refund to compensate me for not keeping their contract. they only wanted me to send the bike back. they didn't even want to compensate for the fact that this would mean that i've been weeks without a bike and with no bike at hand just before a bike trip. Really crappy.

We’re truly sorry to read your review and understand your disappointment. However, we want to clarify once again that the weight we communicate always refers to the base version of the bike without any added accessories. As we explained, slight weight variations are entirely normal in the e-bike industry. Suppliers often modify components or materials, and even a handlebar from the same model and manufacturer can weigh 120g or 135g. When you extend this across all components of an e-bike, a 1kg difference is reasonable and expected, especially when considering the bike is weighed in size S and without pedals, which alone add around 650g.
Given your dissatisfaction, we immediately offered our full and completely free return policy. We would have taken care of everything: pickup and an immediate full refund. You refused this option multiple times and instead insisted on a partial refund or free accessories such as an additional battery. That request seemed inconsistent with the severity of the issues you described. If the bike truly wasn’t right for you, wouldn’t returning it have been the most logical step?
Furthermore, if our intention had really been to mislead, what would have been the point of offering a 20-day fully free return window from the moment of delivery? It simply wouldn’t make sense.
We don’t wish to argue. Our work is, and always has been, based on transparency and respect for our customers. We explained multiple times the reasons behind the weight differences between sizes and between equipped and base bikes.
We are once again sorry and always available to support our customers. And in fact, the hundreds of authentic reviews from those who have truly appreciated both the product and our service speak for themselves.
Disappointment can happen, but when trust is met with honesty, real value always emerges.
