Membership fees still taken despite trial cancellation
I’ve been subscribed as a free member with JFC for a number of years, but never used any of their highlighted flights. Having recently retired and planning flights further afield, I subscribed to the £1 for 1 month trial to see what additional offers were included in a subscription. Sadly nothing more, above free content, was received so I cancelled the subscription within the 1 month period. As such I was shocked when I received my bank statement with £48 debited to JFC for an annual subscription. I immediately cancelled that subscription online then contacted JFC to request a refund as I had already terminated my subscription during the trial period, so was not liable to pay anything. They refused saying I was outside a 14 day period, a period that applies only to a standard subscription, which I had no longer authorised having already cancelled the trial subscription. They asked for proof of cancellation, which I don’t have as I didn’t take images of the cancellation. They suggested that an email confirming cancellation may have gone straight to my spam bin, so that would have already disappeared into the ether. With their refusal to refund, I requested escalation to the CEO/ or ombudsman. They have refused to supply details of either, which may be a breach of trading laws as they should have a policy/process available for customer complaints. Feedback here could have been so much better had communications with JFC been less frustrating to deal with and more so if their processes actually worked.

The Jack's Flight Club service is built to constantly scour the internet and figure out IF a flight price is any good and ONLY then rapidly alert our members that there's an unexpectedly great fare available. At that point, we send out the location of how and where to buy that flight (including if necessary, the particular workarounds or hacks to get the price we've found).
We use a combination of bots, machine learning, data analysis and expert human curation to scan millions of flight routes a week. We do make it very clear on the site that we want to get our members all around the world on any budget and this does mean that we will look for the cheapest way of doing that. We look at both luxury and budget airlines but lots of the best offers will be on budget airlines. This does not mean that we don't look for premium economy or business (or even better!) and make sure that we send those tips out as well :)
We completely understand that travelling on budget airlines is not for everyone and we do our utmost to cater to the needs of all of our members. I noticed a charge of £48 from my credit card that I never intended to make. Never got money back as nog part of ombudsman. Seems pure dodgy business to trick people everyday. His reviews say how customers get cheated every day with the same conman tactic! Please stay away & destroy his robbery business.

I am very disappointed with my experience with Jack’s Flight Club.
I never received any value from their service, and yet they insisted on keeping my money because of their refund “policy.” To me, this feels like a business model that depends more on catching people out than on keeping customers satisfied.
I noticed a charge of €48 from my bank account that I never intended to make, and the company name on my bank statement was “Camden”, which gave me no clue it was Jacks flight club.... I actually cancelled my creditcard to prevent further payments (!) causing even more hassle in my daily life.
I never used any of their services, and despite reaching out as soon as I found out about the payment, I was refused a refund.
Jack has no interest what so ever in happy customers - only in their money.
Update, October 3rd 2025: I've seen your reply below, and wanted to comment on that:
I did in fact reach out to your support team after discovering the charge — but was still refused a refund. I understand you have a policy, but please dont use it just to hold on to unhappy customers money. This doesn’t feel fair or customer-friendly.
I never used the service, never intended to renew, and would have gladly cancelled had I known.
I appreciate your response, but I hope you review your refund process — not just cite policy.

Without the additional details to actually locate your account, we are unable to see the specifics of your renewal, to ensure there was no service failure.
We can advise that at the time of sign-up, we always make sure to inform our members that all our plans are automatically renewing and can be canceled at any time. However, we understand that it can be easy to forget or overlook this detail. That signup does require your card details, which asks that you approve of the auto-renewing charge before you are sent our Premium alerts. On both the sign up and cashier pages, you are also provided with the date of the renewal and the amount that would be charged. We pride ourselves on being very upfront with these details, so we ensure they are mentioned several times.
We completely understand that dates are missed and provide a 14 refund timeframe, from the date of the charge, in which you are able to receive a full refund. Sadly, we are unable to provide a refund outside of this timeframe.
We truly value our members and are more than happy to assist them, within reason that is fair to them and also to us as a company. Our many 5 star reviews - many of whom have received refunds within their refund timeframes - are a testament to that.
