Ordered tweed jacket 9th of September 2024 when it did not arrive on the expected date contacted support told it could take up to 45 days hic for a off the shelf tweed jacket hic this company no longer trading so glad I use pay pal

Empire Insolvency

I’ve used Empire Outlet a few times over the past 4 years, and couldn’t fault them…..up until now. Ordered a couple of items in July, no communication or responses other than the generic replies from Rhea. Then a couple of weeks ago no response at all to my request for cancellation and refund, then I found out that the website was closed, socials not active etc etc. Claimed a chargeback from bank yesterday and after a couple of hours of them investigating, money arrived in my account. They could clearly see that Empire had ceased trading. Good Luck to all claiming your hard earned back!
UPDATE
Received an email from an insolvency agency, Empire are going into Voluntary Liquidation on 17th December. The administrators say in the documents that small creditors are HIGHLY UNLIKELY to receive anything due to the level of accrued debt by Empire. They recommend contacting banks or credit card issuers for chargeback.

AVOID!

AVOID!! Ordered a suit in August, it’s never arrived. They’ve taken their website down now but a new website called Happy Gentleman has now popped up with exact same items, I would buy with caution with Happy Gentleman incase it’s Empire Outlet under a different name.

Like the last person wrote below , i ordered a suit on 1st of August nothing has been received .

AVOID AVOID AVOID If I could give minus stars I would. Should have read the reviews before ordering. No contact despite several emails and attempts to call their customer service, which in itself is a joke, very quick to take your money.
Have contacted credit card company to hopefully get a refund

A disgraceful experience

I ordered a suit on 10th July for a Wedding in late August, thinking this would leave plenty of time. Weeks passed with no update so I contacted their customer services via e-mail and got an unhelpful standard response saying it could take 30-45 days.
As the wedding drew nearer I contacted them again stressing the urgency and asked if they could expedite the order. They were unhelpful, unresponsive and made no effort to help.
The wedding date passed and I contacted them again, now more than 60 days since the order. They blamed material problems and stated they'd now expedite the order, too little too late. That was 11th September. By mid October there was still lot nothing so contacted them 3 times for a refund but received no response. Thankfully I used PayPal and raised a concern with them and PayPal refunded.
This company is a disgrace, do not give them your business.

100% AVOID. Not genuine. No Customer Service.

Nothing arrived. No acknowledgement or reply to 6 email. No answer to over 20 phone calls to customer service. No communication at all. Luckily I used PayPal who took up the case and found in my favour to refund the total amount.
Shambolic service, criminally taking customers money with no intention of fulfilling the sale.
My experience with Empire Outlet was 100% negative, and I have every reason to believe this company to be scammers. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Do not send them any money no matter how professional the website appears. Shameful.

No No No No No!

Ordered my siut in early August and chased. I was advised it "could" take up to 45 days - fair enough.
After 60 days emailed 3 times - no response. Phoned - calls not taken.
In the end used the protection of Section 75 of the Credit Consumer Act and got my money back from the card. Do not use this company! Buyer Beware!

Do not order from this company

Do not order from this company. I placed an order at the end of July, heard nothing so chased via their contract email mid September. I received a reply stating they were experiencing supply issues and would contact me with a few days with an update. Now mid October, still no suit and no update, despite sending chaser emails. Next step is to contact Trading Standards and my credit card company to see if I can get a refund.

Do not order!!!

Ordered from here at the beginning of August as my father in law was diagnosed with brain cancer and we knew he didn’t have long. I have emailed several times even explaining it was needed for this coming Friday, to be told three weeks ago they’re having material issues.Since requesting a refund several times over the last ten days we’ve had absolutely no response at all. Do not order from this company, unless you’re willing to throw away a couple of hundred pounds for nothing.

DO NOT TRUST - AVOID

DO NOT TRUST

We ordered my (groom) and groomsman's suits from here with plenty of time. 2 months after placing the order and hearing nothing, we got the same "material issue" excuse and now there has supposedly been a death in the family. Rhea has refused to give us a time frame for the suits and told us she understood if we wanted to cancel the order. As a result, four weeks before the wedding we had to source suits elsewhere in a rush.

Customer service from Rhea is diabolical. As soon as we asked to cancel the order and issue a refund, she has dropped off the face of the earth and refused to reply thus far.

Reading the reviews they are spinning the same stories to all their customers and letting them down. Do not trust these absolute criminals. They really ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Luckily, we ordered on a credit card so I have reached out to our credit card supplier to reverse the charge as Empire Outlet clearly seem to think they are entitled to our £900 worth of suits despite never even starting to make them, let alone deliver them.

Customer service poor

Customer service poor. Taking orders which they cannot complete and breaching contract. Do not order.
Will file for winding up if no response within the time limits. It’s a shame as I purchased a jacket from them in 2023 and was very pleased. Obviously struggling

Do not get your wedding suit from here - please read!!!

If I could give this company a 0 I would!!!

First I want to add that I’m currently a week and a half into waiting for a refund which they will not respond to 4 days before my wedding.

I bought a suit from this company a few years back for my brothers wedding and the suit was perfect. Got so many compliments on how it looked and that’s the reason I came back to buy my wedding suit.

I bought a bespoke suit back in March, gave the measurements over 2 months before the wedding and then I heard nothing.
A month later I thought I’d see how the progress of my suit was going and this is when they informed me of a material issue. I said I was understanding and when could I expect to get the suit by with a month till the big day.
I then got generic replies with no actual information for the next two weeks. When I asked for actual details on where my suit was and what stage it was at then I got no reply.
Theie phone number on their website refers you to the email. Their Instagram no one responds to you. You then notice on their social media’s post that years ago when I bought my first suit they have many photos of people happily wearing their line of suits. Since this year their posts have turned to Memes about suits and it all just feels a little off. Something has changed in the company and I advise anyone looking for a wedding suit to steer clear of this website.

They should not take something as serious as someone’s big day with so little concern. This company has gone down the pan!!!
