Not listening, or answering tel

I parked in the Brentford Holiday Inn, and I have a reciept. I went overseas for 2+ months within the week.
Came home 2 months later to find a penalty notice from Park And Control. Too late to appeal, now in debt recovery company hands.
After waiting for 30 minutes on telephone, Harriet explains the appeal time has lapsed. I explain I was out of the country, so no chance of seeing notice. Please send proof, which I did after I asked Tim to get Harriet to send me her email address.
Sent all the proof they wanted.
Had a letter in the post today, saying I still need to pay £170. Not happy with this, so I will have to wait for a day in court I suppose.
I have tried the website contact us page with upload of images.
www parkandcontrol co.uk
www debtrecoveryplus. co.uk
I am still on hold, 58 minutes now, so decided to write a negative review without the usual call of war.
But wait, after 1 hour and 5 minutes, Emma answers the call.
A quick discussion, check of the paperwork, and all is ok. Until Emma then tells me I still have to pay teh original £60 fine, or gamble with a £235 one.
Apparently I should have paid upto midnight, then paid from midnight until I left.
Now this is a hotel I stayed, no way was I going to get up at midnight and pay for the next time period.
Never had to pay for two periods before.
So the saga continues, but Emma gets a nod in teh right direction so far at least.

Excellent Customer service

Had a text message to say I owed £170 parking charge which was the first I heard about this. Called DRPL which took 40 mins to get through and was really worried to speak to them due to the bad reputation of debt collectors but got through to Carole Donlan who was super lovely and helpful! Letters had got sent to an old address due to my late changing of log book so Carole emailed me all the pictures of the parking fine. Obviously my fault so I had to pay it. 3 stars due to me now being in debt but 5 stars for her customer service.
Thank you :)

A debt collector going above and beyond for fairness

Having missed final payment deadline for a parking fine, I was anticipating a difficult encounter with the debt recovery service, My initial contact preceded my details being sent to them, and James courteously mailed to suggest I contact him the following day, offering me his email, and asking for my 'phone number when I did re-contact. He called me back within minutes, seeking documented clarification for the reasons I was unable to pay (I had been away from home over the period when the two letters arrived). With this information he was able to provide evidence to the car parking company which led them to reduce the higher cost for delayed payment to the original parking fine. I have been really surprised by his willingness to make things smooth and fair for me.

I have received a letter from debt…

I have received a letter from debt recovery plus for a fine of £170 for parking wrongly in a uk car park management area.

I did not receive any letters from UK car park management for the original fine of £60 which went up to £100 after 14 days.

The only letter I received stays ‘ you may not have responded to previous letters due to an oversight’ ….

I phoned debt recovery plus to tell them that I had not received the previous letters from uk car park management and they said ‘ it could have been a postal issue’ . Which is surely out of my control; and at worst I don’t believe the letters were ever sent and this a scam.

I also tried to email UK car park management and the email for enquiries bounced back and also the same with debt recovery plus - making me think that they are making it as difficult as possible to have a written trial of evidence.

They are a bunch of scumbags

They are a bunch of scumbags. You can not check evidence and when you put reference number of the case, it said the number doesn't exist. They sent account number and sort code. The thing is you don't know who you are sending the money to. Could be a terrorist, a serial killer or a gang member. You just don't know. So I will go to court and request compensation of the dipression loss of work and court and lawyer fee.
