Don't buy anything with them! The worst experience!

A year ago (Nov2019) I bought 2 flight tickets (reservation no. 696040108800) which were canceled in February 2020 due to the pandemic (cancellation no. IC-569143). I have already paid the total amount $42,780.90mxn through my credit card.

Despegar.com reimbursed me the fee ($ 2,377) and the insurance that I had contracted ($ 489.90) on February 11. However, the reimbursement of the amount of the tickets by the airline ($ 39,914) was pending.

On April 23 2020, I received an email telling me that the airline had approved the refund, but I never received any amount after several follow-up calls where I had to send my account statements, as well as also emails confirming that they were still reviewing the case (the last one I received was on September 11). However, now I still do not have any news or money in my account.

Now they don't even answer the phone or messages and I have seen that many people around have the same problem. There's no way to communicate with them.

Even I call the airline and told me that they already returned the money since April to Despegar.com

Be careful and don't buy anything with them, don't waste your money with such and uncertain and fraudulent company.

Complete scam and rip off

Latam cancelled my flight and they are refusing to give me my money back. They stopped answering calls and there are public facebook groups that show how there is tons of people that didn´t received their money back at all.

Beware despegar.com

I bought a package for a trip to Las Vegas through despegar.com, the airline canceled the flight and returned the money. Despegar.com stole it! It`s been four monts, and they only answer that are working on my case... Some THIEVES !!!

This company steals money

I have been waiting for my refund for more than 120 days and the company does not even answers the phone, this company is a fraud, i am thinking on legal action

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I used to book my flights here even for work! But not anymore they have been holding my money for 5 months already!!! With this COVID Situation they Sent an email saying they can re inburse the amount for the hotel (106,000 pesos) but they told me to wait 120 days!!!! So I waited ...and here i am More than 120 days later with NO money! Thats a very dishonest practic.

Yo solía reservar mis vuelos incluso de trabajo aquí pero ya no lo haré! Han tenido mi dinero por 5 meses! Con la situación del COVID me enviaron un correo diciendo que me iban a reembolsar el dinero entero del hotel (106,000 pesos) pero que tenía que esperar 120 días!!!! Lo hice.... esperé...y aquí estoy más de 120, días después sin dinero! Una práctica complemente deshonesta porque el hotel si devolvió los fondos a Despegar
