ANY 5-STAR REVIEWS ARE LIES — AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I booked Fly Away Parking at Gatwick South Terminal and it was a disaster from start to finish. First red flag: I never received a confirmation email after paying. Thankfully, I had taken a screenshot of the booking reference, or I’d have had no proof of the reservation.

When we arrived to drop the car off, it wasn’t the professional setup you’d expect — no branded signage, no uniformed staff, just one sketchy guy standing next to a bollard, clearly confused and unprepared. To make it worse, we were told we had to pay for the parking ticket ourselves, which we’ve NEVER had to do with other meet-and-greet services.

On return, we followed their instructions and called as soon as we landed. We told them we’d be 20 minutes, but it ended up being 40. When we got to the pickup point, the same sketchy guy was standing there again — but he had no idea where our car was and told us to call the driver. The driver claimed he had just left to get the car and would be 15 minutes — even though we were already 40 minutes later than expected, so that made no sense.

Fifteen minutes passed. Nothing.
We called again — now he says he’s stuck in traffic and doesn’t know how long he’ll be. The excuses kept changing. An hour and a half passed, still no sign of our car. Then, out of nowhere, we get a no caller ID call — it was the original guy by the bollard, now saying the DRIVER had been lying to us and he actually had the car keys the whole time!

Another hour passed. We ended up waiting TWO AND A HALF HOURS in total, with a sick 3-year-old child, before we finally got our car back. And to top it all off, we had to pay AGAIN to exit the car park.

What made the whole situation even worse is that we were not the only ones experiencing this nightmare. There were two other groups around us, both using different companies for parking, yet they had the same phone number we were calling, which means they are all clearly operating under different names but are the same company! They were also waiting for hours like we were.

The man who finally returned our car admitted they’ve been having ongoing problems for weeks with cars being delayed for hours.

This company is a joke and completely unprofessional. DO NOT USE FLY AWAY PARKING. If I could give zero stars, I would.
