Low quality furniture, impossible to return
Terrible service! Returning an item is proving impossible! We purchased two sofas and a coffee table, but the quality is very poor. While we’re okay with the sofas for now as they’re just for a spare room, the coffee table needs to go. For two weeks, we’ve been trying to return it, but the seller keeps coming up with excuses, claiming their supplier has strict return policies and will charge delivery fees, admin fees, and VAT. The table is brand new, still in its box, and ready to be returned. They’ve used every delaying tactic imaginable to make us give up. We informed them that admin fees are not allowed under UK DSR rules, which they seem clueless about, and VAT charges apply to businesses, not private customers.
Poor-quality furniture is bad enough, but a return process that’s a complete nightmare is even worse.
We won't be buying again from Home Detail. Waste of time.
