I recently came back from a 21 day mainland tour of China. My itinerary was Guilin, Zhangjiaje, Chengdu, Lhasa, Xian, Beijing and Shanghai. Highlights were learning to play Mahjong in Guilin with our Guide Henry. Henry also helped us snag some orthodontic rubberbands for my teens. Ziplining with Tony in Zhangjiaje. Visiting the pandas with Helen. Helen knew exactly every nook and cranny of the facility and the best spots for photos of the pandas.Lets not forget the flexibility of Henry and switching our day from shopping to the Natural History Musuem, a big win with the teens. In Lhasa, seeing the Monasteries with Gelek, Xian of course the terracotta warriors with the incredible Mervyn yang who made sure we made our train connections to Beijing. The highlights in Beijing, The great wall, Ethan made sure we got there bright and early so we could get in and thank goodness we did, the wall was closed an hour after we left! Ethan also found an amazing restaurant for us to have the most incredible peking duck. Last, but not least, we spent our last days in Shanghai with Roy who was so helpful and knowledgable. He took great care in making sure the teens were fed, and happy! He also helped me lock in a few souvenirs i had almost let go...all of the guides were obviously good at their jobs but the absolute standout of all of them was Mervyn yang and her driver. They made sure we had snacks and beverages and the car was kept cool so we could recover between events. The car having wifi was also a big win wit the teens. The trip was very busy, informative and flawless. I highly recommend China Highlight tours. Dora Qing was my travel advisor and was extremely patient between emails, questions, requests and changes in the itineraries.

We met our guide, Ethan, in Beijing. Ethan was timely, he was aware of queue times and managed to get us through reasonably. Ethan also was very informative with each location. My teens needed some OTC products last minute and Ethan was able to get them for us quickly too. Navigating the train station Ethan was also a gem.
