Double charge after cash payment – hotel ignores all my emails
I had a very disappointing experience at Tempo by Hilton Times Square during my stay (July 30 – August 4, 2025).
At check-out on August 4, I paid $205 in cash, and I have the official receipt.
Nevertheless, on August 6, the hotel made two unauthorized charges on my credit card:
• €175.61
• €174.12
After several complaints, I only received one partial refund (€172.87 credited on August 11).
The second refund is still missing, despite the fact that I have:
• Sent the official cash receipt multiple times
• Provided bank statements proving the charges
• Followed up repeatedly with both the hotel and Hilton Guest Assistance
To this day (Septeber 05, 2025), the hotel has ignored all my emails.
This behavior is unacceptable for a Hilton property.
I strongly advise future guests to avoid this hotel.
