Follow up on previous correspondence

Dear Debt Recovery Plus, I have already been in touch with you via Trustpilot where you helpfully asked me to contact you. I have attempted this on a number of occasions, the latest being yesterday when I held on for just under 15 minutes then had to leave. I shall try again today or Monday.

However, I’ve received another letter of demand, stating that I’ll need to pay £280 as I’d already not paid a fine of £60 and £170.

I dispute this as I had entered my vehicle details on the app in the hotel we visited in May. I received the first demand for payment of £170 two months later, having not had any previous correspondence from anyone before your demand. Was the app in the hotel not working? I do not know as I didn’t see a message saying it was not and no message saying the car details weren’t accepted.

How else can you be contacted to discuss this matter please. As mentioned, I shall again try the number provided to me today or on Monday.

I received a demand for payment of £170…

I received a demand for payment of £170 from Debt Recovery Plus on 21 July for an alleged unauthorised parking fee at a hotel we visited in May 2025. The letter they sent was dated 7 July 2025 and the demand was to pay by 23 July 2025. They stated that I had received previous notifications for this unauthorised parking. I have never received any other notification apart from the one dated 7 July. I wrote to Debt Recovery Plus and posted it on 23 July - tracked - but there is no physical address. I advised that the alleged unauthorised parking is incorrect as I had filled out my details in the hotel bar, on the parking app. There was no message at that time to state that my car was not registered on the app, hence I did not think anything about it until receiving the notification in July. I phoned the hotel but they said the matter is out of their hands and with the parking company. I had phoned Debt Recovery Plus when I received their letter. They advised that I should have received notifications from the parking company - as I have not, I do not know who the original notifications should have come come. The person on the phone told me that they only take payments. I have noticed that others have had similar experiences. This is really upsetting to receive demands of this nature.
