Absolutely terrible experience

Absolutely terrible experience. I was quoted £120 (including VAT) with a total of £144 upfront to attend the property and carry out the work on my blocked kitchen sink. I paid this in advance, expecting the issue to be resolved.

When the engineer arrived, he took one quick look at the sink and said he needed to go to the van to get equipment. Next thing I know, I’m getting a call from their office saying this “wasn’t standard work” and that it would now cost £630 to use a snake and some machinery to clear the blockage. No work had even started yet! It felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic.

The whole thing felt like a scam, and I honestly regret using this company. It’s completely unacceptable to be hit with such a huge extra charge after already paying in advance. I ended up wasting time, money, and patience. I would strongly advise others to steer clear — there are plenty of other companies out there who are far more honest, professional, and charge fair prices.

Thank you for your feedback, and we're truly sorry to hear you felt let down by your experience.

To clarify, our initial call-out fee of £120+VAT covers attendance and an attempt using basic methods such as a hand plunger or rods where appropriate. If the issue proves more complex or requires mechanical machinery, high-pressure jetting, or CCTV, a fixed quote is provided before any further work begins — this is to ensure full transparency and avoid hidden charges.

We apologise if the process came across as abrupt or unclear. That is never our intention, and we aim to make all costs and procedures clear from the outset. We do appreciate your comments and will review this case internally to ensure we continue improving communication and service expectations. If you'd like to discuss this further with our team, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
