Terrible experience — defective product and no support
I purchased an Audi TT steering wheel (Order 3056364932081935) that arrived with visible marks and scratches from the start. From the beginning, the left buttons and paddle shifter did not work, and the airbag warning light came on intermittently.
I spent over €400 on professional repairs, yet AliExpress refused to offer any partial refund to cover the costs, even though I provided invoices, technical explanations, and documentation. Now they are demanding that I return the steering wheel, leaving me without the product I paid for.
Customer service has been extremely poor, unhelpful, and slow. Their dispute system seems designed to protect sellers only, completely ignoring legitimate buyer complaints.
AliExpress not only allows defective products to be sold but also fails to manage legitimate claims properly. I will never buy from this platform again and do not recommend it to anyone. This has been a frustrating and expensive experience from start to finish.
What went wrong / ¿Qué salió mal esta vez?:
Received a defective product.
Product had visible damage on arrival.
Left side controls failed intermittently.
Airbag warning light appeared intermittently.
AliExpress refused to issue a partial refund.
Forced to spend over €400 in repairs.
Now required to return the product, leaving me without it.

This is the message I just received from AliExpress:

We recommend that you first use the postal service to return the item. Once the logistics show that the item has been delivered and the seller confirms receipt and verifies its condition, we will proceed with the necessary steps as soon as possible. Thank you very much for your cooperation and understanding.
Sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and we assure the we will do everything possible to avoid such situations in the future.

This message clearly shows they haven’t read anything I wrote.
I already explained — several times — that I spent over €400 repairing their defective steering wheel, that I no longer have a working unit, and that I was only requesting a partial refund to cover the repair expenses.
Their reply completely ignores all of that and simply repeats a standard return-and-refund script as if it were an automatic message.
This is a perfect example of how AliExpress customer service doesn’t actually review cases or evidence, and instead sends generic answers that don’t solve the problem or even acknowledge the situation.
