Showroom model sold as new. No information given about that at purchase. No follow-up action after previous contacting customer service by phone.
They sold me a television that was used as a showroom model before WITHOUT informing me. I had to find out at home when unpacking the TV that the box and the accessory package had bend opened before. Some screws were missing
Update;
The reaction from Mediamarkt is that I have to get in touch with them directly via their website to share the purchase data. However I already contacten their customer service departement by phone immediately after I started unpacking the box. I provided all the data (including the order number E311-40206984 which I also provided together with my Trustpilot post). I was promised that l would be contacted by the MediaMarkt Marbella management to come up with a proposal for a proper compensation. So far no (re)action from them however.
Update #2
Now they send me an e-mail that they will not give me any compensation, because “when the I took the TV out of the shop it was in perfect state”. This is totally unacceptable for me because the TV I got was not new, but was either used as a demonstration model in the shop or it was returned by another customer. And as a matter of fact some screws were missing. I had to drive back to the shop to get these screws. . Incredible that MediaMarkt thinks they can get away with this, without any compensation.
