I check online for places to get a vbucks gift card code (because i owed a friend) and i see a link from store.epicgames.com so i click on it, not thinking about checking the reviews because it seemed legit. i selected how much i wanted to buy and i am forced to create an account which i wasnt happy about but wasnt a big deal. i continue to payment after account creation and it was pretty straighforward and had many payment options to choose from. after paying i see a popup thanking me for my purchase and telling me to redeem my gift card code, i looked for it and checked email and even in the section in settings with the history of purchases and so there was nothing. I gave it two days time, nothing. so i decided to contact their support which sadly wasnt very helpful either, they just redirected me to some unrelevant help links and their help pages were also not any better. Not to blame the support team but rather whoever trained them, because its not the supports fault if they arent given the resources to properly help customers. I decide to email the legal team since online i have seen many saying that the legal team was doing a better job than their support team. They have not answered as far as I know. Also just something extra to add, they advertised it as a code not as balance (besides my account didnt even receive balance even though their pages said it will be added as balance), their support was not helpful at all, their legal team either takes very long to reply or just doesnt exist, the the EU consumer protection laws say that i can have a refund for virtual items within 14 days unless made clear otherwise and i didnt get any option to make a refund, the EU consumer protection laws also state that virtual items must be delivered immediately after purchased unless made clear otherwise, they did not deliver the digital goods, and many more things.
