Review of The AA Breakdown Cover

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

AA recovery guys are the best

AA recovery guys are the best. Always get vehicle back on the move. Once breakdown logged on communication is good but trying to speak to human being (when App doesn’t meet criteria) is challenging.

Review of GetAgent

Zero benefit .. agents did not respond.

Can’t see any benefit of this platform. It’s far quicker and more effective to do your own research and make your own contact direct.
After over 24 hours I’d received no contact from any of the recommended agents.
Would only benefit those with zero knowledge or experience.. for rest of us better result calling direct.
UPDATE
I did get a call from one of the agents but he asked me if I could send him details of the property to do an office based valuation.

Hi Mark,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, we are sorry to hear about your experience.

It’s certainly not usual practice for the agents we connect you with to fail to get in touch and we understand the frustration here. We will be looking into this further to understand what went wrong.

Many home-sellers find our service useful especially as a way to compare performance and make more informed decisions but we appreciate that it didn’t meet your expectations on this occasion.

We wish you all the best with your next steps.

No communication / follow up.

Booked property valuation several weeks in advance (as live 200 miles away). Representative (Aled) arrived on time and was professional but said he needed to go away and discuss with colleagues so no valuation given. 10 days later, no contact, so rang his office twice but went to answerphone. I got a call back from lady who said Aled had been away for couple of days and was ‘catching up’ on messages.. still no contact. I used them 10 years ago when they were good but they are now part of Connell group and looks like they have lost their way.
This was Llanelli branch.

Update
Now been 2 weeks since they visited property .. still no advice given.

In most areas I would avoid Connell or Countrywide owned agencies and seek a good local independent.

Review of Watson Fuels

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Time to move away from Watson

Have used Watson for over 20 years but now moving away. They’ve always been more expensive than other companies requiring time consuming calls to haggle price (I’m direct debit account holder). They used to deliver within few days but last delivery got put back 3 times and current delivery is week and half since contacting despite request for urgent delivery. I left a message for them via app and got no reply.
I’m 1800litres min per delivery so I’d have thought it worth their while. Originally used to deal with local depot but now all gone centralised. I think they rely on those who don’t shop around or subscribe to their auto top up service. Asked them to change email on App account and they said they’d need to send reset code .. never received so now can’t access app.
Was a very good business, Sadlly gone downhill over last year or two.

UPDATE. have cancelled my direct debit so free to use other cos for next delivery. Watson delivery driver told me all newer tankers have to go to London for low emissions compliance so they get left with old tankers that break down. Watson requested some ID info following my trustpilot review but have yet to contact me. Like many cos these days they’d rather spend £1000s seeking new customers than service the ones they already have.

UPDATE
In the response they say they will contact me … they did .. but only asking for payment.
