Superman Gilt, Green Dial, 41mm
My purchase experience with Yema was absolutely first rate. I ordered my Superman Gilt early Friday morning, and had it in hand Monday afternoon. That is all the way from France to Oregon (USA) in two business days. Yes, that is true! Unboxing the watch stunned me. It came in the most wonderful wooden display box imaginable, it literally looked like a $10,000 watch. The watch itself is absolutely beautiful. Yema chose not to design just another brutalist interpretation of a dive watch with the Gilt. Instead, they engineered a highly competent dive watch that just happens to be extremely pretty. This will never scream at people from across the room, just a very cool almost James Bond vibe! Everything about this watch is gorgeous. Regarding the in house CMM.10 movement, this is looking to be extremely accurate. This is rated at -3/+5, mine is currently running about 15 seconds slow after 8 days. So, less than 2 seconds per day. If I'm nitpicking, the bezel is a little difficult to read because it's so dark. And, the bracelet has such tight tolerances that it doesn't bend very well at the lugs. But, those are very minor complaints to be sure. Overall, I don't see why this watch isn't selling for at least double the $1790 that I paid. If you've never heard of Yema, check them out. Seriously quality watches at ridiculous price points.
