Behringer TD-3 Bass Syntheziser

Hi, I ordered a Behringer TD-3 on a Thursday evening and it arrived safely on Sunday morning, very fast delivery.
Once unpacked I plugged it in and started to press a few buttons whilst reading the instruction manual.
The TD-3 despite it's reputation is actually quite an easy machine to operate, the instructions on how to program in a sequence is clear and brief. I've definitely had far more complicated machines before!!
It only took me about an hour of reading the instructions and pressing various buttons until I was written and entering my tunes.
Once you understand that you put in notes then the timings it all becomes rather simple.
Obviously as the Behringer TD-3 is a Roland TB-303 clone I'm using it for electronic dance music, which it is ideal for. For better and bigger sounds put the TD-3 through effect pedals, I use a digital delay, reverb, flanger/phaser and distortion.
I also use the MIDI out ( proper MIDI DIN ) to drive my other synths. Also the CV and Gate to drive my Eurorack equipment...
I find some modern music making machines can be rather complicated, too much menue diving, pages of instructions to try to understand all of which can be frustrating.
The TD-3 has very little of that, it's a good "old fashioned" piece of equipment. It goes well with my Behringer RD8...no computers in my set up just nice big buttons and knobs.
Good service, good price (as always) from Gear4music and an enjoyable music making machine

Dysfunctional HP app.

I bought an HP Deskjet 2800e in May, about three months ago. I downloaded the HP Smart software onto my mobile phone. It seemed to work ok, far from ideal, sometimes it would print with no problems, other times it wouldn't print anything without a lot of frustrated button pressing on the phone app or the printer, turning on and off, pressing reset etc.
Today I tried to print and nothing happened! I then uninstalled the app and tried to download it again only for a message to appear telling me that my phone did not support the app!!
No explanation as to why my phone can no longer support the app.
I would return the printer to the shop I bought it from but I no longer have the receipt.
Very irritating.

Repairs not done, poor service and lack of communication.

I have been renting a garage from Secure Parking and Storage for many years.
In January 2024 I received a text message from them telling me that repairs were to be done to the wooden door frames, guttering and the roof renewed. The woodwork was very rotten in places, guttering damage or missing and my garage roof leaked in various places.
I was told to empty the contents of my garage so that repairs could begin at the end of February 2024.
So I emptied my garage and waited for the repairs to be done.
By April no repairs had been done, some scaffolding had been erected and it seems that during the putting up of the scaffolding a hole had been made in my garage roof!!!
Since April 2024 I have phoned Secure Parking and Storage pretty much every month, often two or three times or more a month to find out when repairs would be started and completed.
Every time I was told "Very soon", "within the next few weeks" other excuses for the work not being done included "waiting for a survey or waiting for the materials".
I have also emailed them but I never received a reply!
It is now March 2025, some woodwork has been replaced and new guttering installed, but the roof has still not been replaced.
So whenever it rains, the rainwater pours through the holes in the roof.
I still cannot use my garage as anything I put in there will get soaked.
Secure Parking and Storage are still taking my payment, rent via direct debit for a garage that I can't use.
I have often asked for a refund of this rent money and so far have had a refund of three months rent money.
I am still regularly phoning them but I still get the same response, they are "looking into it, or the repairs will be done soon".
So over one year since repairs were meant to have been done and I still can't use my garage yet I am still being charged rent for the garage.
I shall be taking legal advice regarding this matter.
Secure Parking and Storage are very badly organised, poor service, no communication, fail to reply to my phone calls and emails.

Review of Aramark

Aramark Kitchen Porter v Inept Management

I worked full-time as a kitchen porter for Aramark for almost a year. I worked in a large kitchen/washroom in offices in Sunbury. Previous to that I did about six months of agency work for Aramark, once again as a kitchen porter at the same location.
In all that time there was not a single day when all the equipment worked. Dysfunction dishwashers, conveyor belts ( for carrying plates, trays etc from restaurant to the washroom) would often break down, drains blocked.
Or how about missing or outdated fire extinguishers. There should be Fire extinguishers in or near ever room, but many were missing. Fire extinguishers should also be tested every year, yet many had not been tested for over 18 months.
Fire alarms that did not work, I repeatedly told management about this series safety issue, but nothing was ever done to fix the fire alarm.
Total contempt for their employees safety.

There also seemed to be a lack of cutlery, how can any catering company run a restaurant without adequate cutlery?? On busy lunchtimes there would not be enough cutlery for the customers having their lunch.
Add to that the constant lack of staff.
All this meant that the staff who were working would end up being expected to do their own work and the work of the none existent workers. Obviously this is impossible, one worker can only do the work of one person.
But despite the dysfunctional equipment, lack of equipment, lack of cutlery and lack of staff, management would blame the unfortunate kitchen porters if and when work was not completed or when there was not enough cutlery for the customers in the restaurant.
It is management's responsibility to make sure that the equipment works, that there is enough equipment available and that there are enough kitchen porters to do the work, but it seems it was far more convenient to put the blame the kitchen porters for any failures or when work is not completed.
Eventually I had had enough of the attitude of management and left Aramark.
When I did leave I made a complaint about the poor working conditions, broken or lack of equipment, faulty fire alarms and missing or outdated fire extinguishers, lack of staff and poor and inept management. I sent various emails to Human Resources, but surprise, surprise.. it seems that I was mistaken, management were perfect, all the equipment worked and everyone was happy..
Avoid this company, Aramark are a horrible company to work for, they have no respect for their workers, especially kitchen porters. Their main priority seems to be making a profit, regardless of how they make this profit.
A one star review seems far too generous!!

Review of Hobbycraft

Click and collect service.

I order 5 meters of black fabric via the click and collect. Unfortunately they didn't have that fabric in stock and were unable to supply it in time for when I needed it. Instead Hobbycraft offered me an alternative black fabric, which although slightly more expensive they did not charge me extra for it. I was very pleased with the service and the fabric that I was given, pleasant and helpful service.
