Worst birthday gift ever, 0 response, wrong size chart, bad quality of shirts, pretty long delivery period
1st Part from 19th Jan:
I ordered 3 pants and 3 shirts as a gift for my birthday. The pants and shirts are smaller than the size table indicates. I have a maximum of 105 cm in the chest, I ordered a shirt size L (according to the site 106-114 cm). The shirt is too small :) With pants the same case. The material of the shirt is terrible, the pants ok. If I could return and exchange these clothes for a larger size, there would be nothing wrong with it, however, for more than a month I do not get any feedback after writing already 5 emails. In addition, there is pretty long delivery period.
EDIT (2nd part from 30th May 2025) : They lie - they did respond me four days ago (respond was 22th Jan, i did not receive any e-mail at 18th Jan. They responded my INSTANTLY after bad review. Would i get any reposnd if i didnt write review there? We will never know).
After almost 5 months of anguish this case has finally finished, but let me describe the whole experience with more details. For the whole duration of this process i have bombarded them with mails, probably with total of 2 each week. After few weeks ive got support regarding proper size of clothes i should choose this time. In mid February i was in Rome for 1 week, so i decided to post the return package from there, becasue delivery adress was in Italy. I was waiting for the response whether they received the order. In the next few days i verified delivery status and (NO?)SURPRISE - they DID NOT COLLECTED the return. After some pressure on my part they send pakage with new clothes in a "good" size. Even whole situation wasnt due to my fault, becasue they indicated wrong information regarding sizes on their site,they required me to pay for the delivery AND it was not cheap - 36 EURO ( i have found cheaper deliveries on the internet) but after spending there c. 390 EURO it did not seem to be much. Finally i received both package (they sent 2 even when 1st fit into one package). Shirts are still too small. Pants are fine.
If i could rewind time would i purchase from marini? Never :)
It was my worst online purchase experience ever. Whole procees lasted 5 months. They don't maintain the standard of return and communication in these times offered by competitors.
If i didnt bombard them with mails i would never get this swap.
I changed from 1 star to 2 star, because at the end of the day i received any clothes. I mean, i could pay them and never see my clothes.
About their return policy. Italy is in European Union. This is a requirement under European Union law—specifically the Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights which applies the 14-day withdrawal period for distance contracts.
