Currently on my 9th delivery driver 🤦‍♂️…

Currently on my 9th delivery driver 🤦‍♂️ yes, nine! Every single one keeps cancelling after arriving at McDonald’s. The order’s been sat there so long it’ll be stone cold by now.

Customer support just keeps sending the same generic copy and paste responses, refusing to actually fix the problem or issue a refund. No logic, no accountability, and definitely no customer care.

It’s beyond frustrating, I’ve been patient, polite, and followed all the right steps, but McDonald’s seem happy to take the payment and leave the customer empty handed. Absolute joke of a system.

It’s a shame to leave a negative review…

It’s a shame to leave a negative review because the staff are genuinely great, but the equipment and changing rooms tell a different story. The treadmills are so noisy you can’t run without blasting music through your headphones—unfortunately, everyone else has to endure the screeching too. And there’s no sign they’ll be fixed anytime soon. The same goes for the changing rooms. The lockers have been broken and in a poor state for well over a year. You’d expect better standards from a name like JD, especially when promoting premium services.

I have no idea how LOQBOX is getting…

I have no idea how LOQBOX is getting good reviews. I’m being charged £12.50 a month for a “membership” and £20 a month to “repay” a loan I never actually received. That’s £32 a month for absolutely nothing, just a fake entry on my credit report pretending I’m paying off a loan that doesn’t exist or benefit me in any way.

It feels misleading at best and exploitative at worst. How is this even legal? I’ve tried contacting customer service multiple times, kept being told I was hundreds deep in the queue, only to get pushed back to the bottom every time.

I want this cancelled and refunded. This whole system needs proper scrutiny.

Absolutely Disgraceful – Cancelling is a Nightmare!

I’m honestly shocked at how difficult PureGym has made it to cancel a membership. They advertise “cancel anytime” like it’s a flexible and customer-friendly service, but that’s far from the truth.

There’s no clear option to cancel on the app, nothing visible on the website, and the payments don’t even show up as a typical direct debit, so you can’t easily cancel through online banking. It feels deliberately designed to be confusing, like they’re hoping you’ll give up and keep paying.

Now I’ve had to take time out of my day to physically go into the bank just to stop future payments. It’s 2025, why are we dealing with cancellation methods like it’s 1995?

I wouldn’t recommend PureGym to anyone based on this alone. A gym that makes it this hard to leave clearly doesn’t respect its members. If you’re thinking of joining, be warned, getting in is easy, but getting out is a whole different story.

Cancelling is in the hands of our members and is easy and simple! We are sorry to hear you decided to cancel. If you pay monthly you simply need to cancel the direct debit with your bank at least 4 working days before payment is due. This can be done on the banks app, by calling them or going in store. Once your bank notify us of this, your account will begin to cancel down and you do not need to do anything further.

So, you're expected to pay for your own fuel, work a month in arrears, and still not receive monthly pay? By the fifth week, you're only getting paid for week one? What kind of setup is that? It feels like a clear attempt to take advantage of people. Absolutely not for me.

Disappointing experience.

Disappointing Experience

I decided to take the initiative and fund my own training rather than wait for my company to arrange it. During the enquiry and payment process, communication was excellent — as you'd expect. I booked my Level 6 NVQ for £1,800.

Unfortunately, everything went downhill after payment. Communication and organisation have been extremely poor. The assessor failed to show up for the scheduled induction, and I’ve received no response to my emails. I’ve also sent text messages and used the provider’s portal to get in touch — still nothing.

I’ve completely lost confidence in this provider. Given the amount I’ve paid, I’m now seriously considering taking my business elsewhere.

Update from Jane Johnson:

According to the terms and conditions, I’m not eligible for a refund. Sadly, I expected this kind of inflexible response, but I’m committed to leaving an honest review. I’ve called, emailed from both personal and work addresses, messaged repeatedly on the portal, shared my personal number, and even texted the assessor, Roger — with no reply.

I tried to call immediately after Jane’s email, only to be told she was conveniently taking a half day and that no other senior staff member was available to assist me. Customer service at its finest.

Bit disappointed with customer service

Bit disappointed with customer service. Placed and order to the wrong address. The ex girlfriend by mistake. Not even been shipped yet but Megan says there's nothing she can do! Can't cancel or change the delivery address? Surely not?

Update: Gym King responsed to confirm there was nothing they could do. An order can not be amended once made. Although at 9pm 3 days later I'm partially refunded with no explanation? Literally not even a "sorry item no longer in stock" so much for not being able to amend an order? So not only is it going to the wrong address. I'm getting half a matching set! Id prefered they just cancelled the whole order! Safe to say my first and last time ordering from Gym King. Great customer service

Been with Amazon 10 years. I use it a lot: TV, music, pictures, shopping. Loyal customer. Then, after a bout of missing deliveries from incompetent delivery drivers, my account was under investigation. Like it was my fault that your drop-and-run drivers don't leave packages in a safe place. Now it's blocked for three days for suspicious activity. Suspicious activity on an online shopping service?! I provided ID, spoke on the phone, but still have to wait for an investigation. So, after 10 years, I've just deleted my account. Absolutely appalled at the customer service.

So disappointed!

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received today. I placed an order this morning for same-day delivery, paying an additional £15 for this expedited service. However, after payment, I was informed that same-day delivery is unavailable to my area. Despite requesting cancellation within five minutes of placing the order, my request was denied, and a refund of the £15 same-day delivery fee was not offered. I am highly dissatisfied with the customer service provided.

Update from management:

The order has been processed, so we cannot refund it, but we can change the bouquet and delivery date. So they can completely change the 'processed' order but not cancel it? Makes sense? Do not use this service.

Do not use this service!!

Do not use this service!!! I used it for a purchase from house of fraser. A hottub which I ended up cancelling the next day. (Impulse buy) this was a month ago and fraser plus still trying get £500 off me. It's cancelled. Never received any goods. There not interested say its the retailer problem not theirs. Absolute joke

Impossible to get through to anyone. Cancelled an order over a month ago and fraser plus still chasing me for payment. Managed to speak to one of thete team. Won't help at all, I need to speak to house of fraser. Iv emailed, tried live chat but it's always busy with no associate. Phone number are useless. Absolute joke. HELP PLEASE!!!!!

I've noticed that Just Eat seems to adjust their service fee whenever it suits them. Sometimes it's 5%, but on a busy Sunday morning like Mother’s Day—when half the nation is ordering breakfast—they bump it up to 11%. That feels like blatant exploitation. Prices keep rising unchecked, with no regulation in sight. I genuinely feel for single parents and others on minimum wage trying to afford a treat—it’s just not fair.

I am compelled to utilize review platforms such as Trustpilot to obtain a resolution, as other avenues have proven ineffective. A recent booking for myself and my partner, facilitated through the Klarna app utilizing their "Pay in 3" option, resulted in a payment discrepancy. Despite having remitted the first two Klarna installments (totaling over £300), the hotel claims non-receipt of payment and demands the outstanding balance of £508. Customer service provided no assistance, directing me to contact the hotel (which I have already done) before abruptly terminating the live chat and requiring me to await a response. This situation is wholly unacceptable.
