RAC Put My Life at Risk - Absolutely Disgraceful

I’ve never been so angry with a company in my life. I called RAC for help with a puncture on a run flat tyre, made it absolutely clear what I had and was told someone would come out with the correct replacement. After waiting for hours, the mechanic turned up without a run flat, then tried to repair the damaged tyre – something that’s not even safe or recommended with run flats.

What’s worse, he didn’t tell me he was going ahead with the repair — just did it, refitted the tyre, and then tried to charge me over £300 for patching up my own tyre. No explanation, no warning, just pressure and intimidation to pay for something I never agreed to.

The job was a mess. He completely damaged my wheel and left me with no choice but to drive home at 4am, knowing full well the repair wasn’t safe. I was facing a four-hour journey at motorway speeds, relying on a bodged repair that could’ve gone catastrophically wrong. If that tyre had blown out, I don’t even want to think about the consequences.

The whole thing was reckless and unacceptable. RAC not only failed to help — they put me in real danger. I’ll never use them again.

Upgraded to new cloud software

Upgraded to new cloud software - very slick system and great training from Dylan. Ive used these guys many times, they are really good company to work with - thanks again!
