Delayed delivery and lack of communication
We ordered a washing machine with the promis of delivery the 23rd of July. After having waited the whole day for the delivery, we realized it was not coming. The day after we got an email that the delivery was delayed and we could expect it delivered within 24-72 hours - no further specification. I try to reach customer service to explain that we where on holiday and we have no intention on spending four days in the house waiting for the delivery in case of it arriving. We got one answer with a promise to follow up, but nothing happened. On the fourth day we had a phonecall from the delivery that they where 10-60 minutes away. Luckily we had someone in the house and was able to recieve it. MediaMarkt should reconsider their communication rutines when it comes to delivery and be more presise on the date/time of arrival. The lack of communication was a stressful element for us. The guys delivering the machine and installing it were very nice and service minded, luckily in the end.
