I've been a user of Bilt for quite some time, initially, it was a fantastic, Everything was conveniently linked to a single card, making it easy to manage my rental payments along with other bills and insurance. The process was seamless and automatic, which was a major selling point for me.

However, Bilt has recently changed its policy, and now the entire experience is a hassle. Instead of the previous automated setup, I now have to log in to Bilt about a week before my payment is due, create a Bill Pay, and only then will my rental payment go through.

The most frustrating part is that there is no way to set up automatic payments. Once a Bill Pay is created, it only stays active for 5 days. If I miss that window or forget to log in, my payment won't go through. This is especially concerning if I'm on vacation or dealing with a busy schedule.

The added stress of having to manually log in every month to create a Bill Pay is a huge inconvenience. If I don't authorize the payment in time, there's a risk of the transaction being declined, which could lead to late fees from my bank or the payment processing platform.

On top of that, their customer service is a nightmare. They don’t provide a phone number for support, and you’re left with only chat or email options. The chat is painfully slow, with every response taking 2–3 minutes. This makes it incredibly difficult to resolve any issues quickly.

What was once a simple, automated process has become unnecessarily complicated. It feels like a step backward, and the risk of missed payments is something I’d rather not deal with.

Unreliable Service and Poor Support Experience

I have been using DoRoyal for hosting my website, and my experience has been far from satisfactory. While the initial setup was relatively straightforward, the service has proven to be unreliable and the support lacking.

Cons:

Frequent Downtime: My website and the DirectAdmin panel frequently experience downtime. Recently, I encountered an issue where the server (royal2.doroyal.com) completely refused connections, preventing access to both my website and the admin panel. This is unacceptable for any hosting service, especially when reliability is crucial.

Unhelpful AI Support: The automated AI support system, Jester AI, failed to address the actual issue at hand. Despite providing detailed information, the AI misinterpreted the problem as a user error in logging in, rather than recognizing a server-side issue. This led to frustration and wasted time, as the AI system cannot escalate issues or connect users with a human support agent.

Lack of Human Support: The support system seems to rely heavily on AI, with no easy way to connect with a human representative. This is a significant drawback, especially when dealing with more complex issues that require immediate attention and resolution.

No SSL Detected: Despite configuring my website, the hosting did not include SSL certification, which is a basic security feature that should be standard.

Really sorry to hear that you've been having issues with us. I'll try to do my best to answer all of your concerns.

We are actively experiencing an outage caused by the recent storm in Kansas City, which is where our datacenter is located. The power outage resulted in a hardware failure. We're still in the process of restoring everything.
This information is provided on our server status page, as well as on our Discord. We try to be as upfront as possible whenever things go down, or issues are detected. If you're ever in doubt, be sure to check the status page first, and then check our discord for any server-alerts.

As for the support stuff, we only utilize our Jester AI within a single department. In fact, you must actually specifically select this department to talk to the AI. We make it very clear that you're talking to an AI as well, with the department being called "Jester AI" and its description being "Get an immediate response by our helpful Jester AI bot! Need instant help? Open a ticket here."

Every other support department is fully managed and run by actual humans. Out of all twelve of our departments, only one is AI based. (though it's true that our staff cannot actively respond within the Jester AI department)

Beyond that, we also provide human support on our Discord server, on Mastodon, on Facebook, and our public forums. We try to make reaching out with an actual human as easy and straightforward as possible.

As for SSL, this is actually fully included for free. If the system didn't generate a certificate for you automatically, you may need to generate a new certificate yourself. Just go to the SSL Certificates section of DirectAdmin, and follow the instructions provided. Alternatively, we can also assist you with this process, and even fully do it for you, if you require that.

We try to be very hands-on as far as our support and such goes. So if you ever have any issues, or if you need help with something that you don't know how to do? Just reach out.

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. At first it was promised for a lifetime, now they are shutting down. they are not even refunding money or credit.
They want us to go to 20i which is their sister company. now they say they are offering 3 month of free service. however upon checking that is provided to every new user.
