Offerup would rather ban than resolve issues

I've been an avid user of Offerup for a decade. I tried to login today and was greeted by the message, "your account is banned." No warning. No emails or notifications. No explanation. I contacted support to figure out what happened and Offerup responded with, "we dont have to tell you." hahaha.

The exact wording "OfferUp reserves the right to remove items or profiles at its own discretion with or without previous warning or education efforts."

So after 10 years of active service and helping to generate revenue, I received no notice, just ban, with no explanation. Perhaps Offerup is trying to downgrade their site and push all of their customers to Facebook Marketplace?

Offerup has been going downhill for a while especially with bots and scammers, but they aren't the brightest in the shed. When the platform, Offerup, is just banning long-standing customers without reason, explanation, or notification on how to resolve whatever issue they are claiming happened, you can expect people will just enjoy other platforms that work with their customers for the mutually beneficial relationship.

Whenever I have an issue on Facebook Marketplace, Facebook support is available and super helpful to correct whatever needs correcting.

We watched as Craigslist turned into a cesspool and now Offerup is following the same path. At least I won't be required to endure the scams and abuse on Offerup any longer.

Good luck to those still stuck using Offerup, but try out FB Marketplace and other platforms. You may be presently surprised.

1 star because the Offerup platform has chosen not to resolve any issues with their customers any more and just ban accounts. Really poor business model.

Review of Fidelity Investments

I reached out multiple times to pay off…

I reached out multiple times to pay off my 401k loan and was constantly transferred (3) times. When I asked for a Supervisor, Fidelity refused to get me a supervisor until I voice verified my name a 5th time as i completed this verification through the phone service and also ALL 3 times I was transferred. Fidelity refused to provide support and refused to provide a supervisor to handle my support request. I was forced to use their online system which forces me to make additional interest payments and will continue to impact my paycheck for another 2 billing cycles. All over payments which is 100% guaranteed to happen now since they refused to provide support over the phone, will further be delayed up to a month if not longer. In the past, I had to contact my employer to force Fidelity to correct the issues. I am exhausted trying to navigate such terrible support when attempting to make payments over the phone. Forcing customers to get frustrated and hang up to force additional interest payments should be illegal. Tactics like this from Fidelity and other providers should force these companies to pay heavy fines and fees.

Believe the Reviews - Bad Co, poor quality products, bad support

After the hurricane in PA, I purchased THREE of the 3 Person Emergency Kit / Survival Bag (72 Hours) Stealth Angel Survival - Black Fulfilled October 07, 2024. I found issues with some of the items, but not worth the low cost to replace. Every month or so I pull out the equipment, check it, put devices on chargers, etc and within 6 months, the completely unused crank solar radio was dead. I emailed support and their response was: "Please be advise you're passed the 60 day return policy"

I purchased these bags as backups and the hardware is already dead within 6 months of storing in a closet with no usage. The quality is poor and customer support doesn't care.

I will purchase from Amazon or other reputable stores from now on. After reading more of the reviews here, I see why people stay away from this company.

I've since gone online to YT and found tons of grab videos on making your own bugout bag and you can get much better, higher quality, when you price out for 2,3,or more bags (say for your family).

A natural disaster got this company some money but after going through the items and trying to work with their support team, it really isn't safe or prudent to buy from them if they are not willing to honor and support their products.

Check out YT for videos. Make a spreadsheet or download the 100s of examples, and just put all your items in your Amazon cart x3 or however many bags you want to make and divide by that number. Go to pawn shops for the nice extra like all-in-one tools.

Really wish Stealth Angel cared about their products and reputation. I planned to buy a lot more from them, but my experience has changed my mind.

Transunion wants you to PAY money to fix fraudulent inquiry

Equifax exposed all of my information and family's information including my SSN. Someone tried to open an account with Discover Card in my name using my SSN. Discover card said they would remove the HARD inquiry but not the soft and told me they would mail me a letter and i need to contact all 3 credit bureaus to have the soft fraudulent inquiry removed. i called transunion who refused to help me. i was told i need to MAIL certified copies of my ID, Address, the letter from Discover and other documents. I asked for a manager 4 times. I am not paying money to remove a fraudulent inquiry. Transunion put me on hold and left me there for 20 minutes and never returned. I hung up and reported Transunion to BBB and posting here so people are aware of how they treat customers and how Transunion wants you to pay money out of pocket to CORRECT fraud on your credit report.

My 6 yr old daughters safety isnt a priority

I sat next to my 6 year old daughter when an older boy on voice chat in Roblox started harassing my daughter for her personal address. The boy sounded like a teenager. I told my daughter to report the boy and to never give out ANY personal information and since we were on voice, the boy reported my account. I spent two weeks with a one week ban, trying to resolve the issue with Roblox support who claimed it is IMPOSSIBLE to falsely report accounts and I explained how the boy who reported my account was trying to get the physical address of a minor and Roblox support respond, they cant discuss the issue further. Since the safety of my daughter isn't a priority and Roblox will lie about reporting users and information shared, I felt it important to post this review of Roblox for its unsafe environment for children and the lack of support and complete disregard by Roblox support to investigate serious issues such as older boys/men trying to get personal identifiable information of young girls on their platform.

Whenever I post on Reddit ANYTHING negative about freecash they falsely report me. They have reported my account on reddit and reddit does nothing to investigate, so I deleted my reddit account since reddit moderators and support arent doing their jobs and reporting here to let people know how Freecash will continue to retaliate against you on every site, even this one to block legitimate posts showing the scams and tactics Freecash continues to employ to steal from their customer base.

I have parental locks in place and sit…

I have parental locks in place and sit with my 6 yr old while she plays Roblox. Some teenager in the RAGDOLL game was trying to get her to give out her personal home address. I immediately said we are reporting this and the moderator of RAGDOLL reported my account and Roblox banned my account for 24 hours without warning and without reviewing what happened. This is the second issue I've had with Roblox WRONGLY blocking/banning/suspending my account and when i submit tickets Roblox support does nothing to resolve the issue. Don't bother spending money on this game and do not let your kids play unattended as there as horrible creepy teenagers and adults that try to get kids personal information. HORRIBLE SUPPORT and HORRIBLE MODERATION. Roblox has been repeatedly reported for failing our children. Roblox needs to actually have moderators and a support team that isn't just looking out for cash.

Recently got banned without notice

Recently got banned without notice. Attempted to contact Reddit support for the reason and details. Reddit ignored the rest and left me banned for 7 days. Not sure Reddit understands how low on the pool for information it is, but banning people without warning or reason and ignoring support tickets is a fine way to get 1 star and have zero trust on whatever remaining user base you have. well done.

I've been on Freecash about 3 months

I've been on Freecash about 3 months. I have spent hundreds/thousands of dollars to complete offer. Freecash says, "This is essential given that we provide cash incentives for completing offers, attracting potential scammers." - yet, after completing dozens of offers, spending weeks and hundreds of dollars, Freecash will Reject your support ticket and not pay you even when you provide evidence. I have hundreds of screenshots including the offer walls showing what is required to complete the offer and I take screenshots and notes throughout the entire process as proof. Freecash uses the delay in ticket system (SLA 10 days) to try to prevent people from Chargebacks, but since Freecash is intentionally Rejecting Evidence and not paying, YOU, the customer, will be out hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. I have escalated to Freecash support more than a dozen times and after waiting an additional 10 days just to be rejected for another $200 completed offer, I have escalated these issues to Google and the Game Developers providing evidence of the scam tactics Freecash is using to fraud its customers. Also, the most recent support agents on Freecash Website Chat continued to pressure me to spend real money in exchange for my offer being released... implying that if I spend more money, they will release and credit me for an offer i ALREADY completed, which is extortion. At this point, I posted to FB, Here, Reddit, and reported to Devs and Google Play to "investigate the legitimacy and tactics used by Freecash which has an app in Google Play Store" as well as investigate offer providers and their agreements to kickback - send money to Freecash - for users/customers completing offers. After 3 months of this, I have given up that Freecash will provide any support or make any attempt to correct the issues and take care of their customers. I have 400 screenshots, including chats with Freecash agents and emails, as proof of the tactics being used to cheat customers out of real money. I attempted to work with Freecash for months, but they continue to pretend they are "just the face" and have ZERO accountability for ANY offer they have listed on their website and have ZERO impact on ANY offer any of their providers submit to Freecash, and yet, ALL OF THE CUSTOMERS are responsible for their time, real money spent, and evidence submitted to Freecash, which Freecash ignores and moves active offers to completed, then forcefully EXPIRES the offers so users will NEVER be paid for their time, money, and participation. I am happy to see people on Reddit stepping up and reporting sites like these for their fradualent and dipicable tactics to cheat and steal from their own customers. Freecash also pushes users to send any money they do get to STAKE.US website to shroud currency behind Bitcoin and STAKE.US is a gambling site using real money which is also illegal in the U.S. I hope these issues are brought to the attention of attorneys and the legal system so the customers will be reimbursed and compensated for all of these atrocities.

I purchased an A15 at Walmart that was…

I purchased an A15 at Walmart that was supposed to be free, got charged $50. I was told the plan was $21 for text/talk (no data), i was put on essentials for $60 a month with everything unlimited. I was told there was no contract. There is a 24 month contract. I called T-mobile to find out whats going on and waited on hold for 59 minutes before I got to a manager who after I told him what happened, the manager decided to just hang up on me. I will be returning the phone and immediately reporting T-Mobile here, BBB, and everywhere I can for lying to my face about the cost, plan, and contract. I contacted my bank and informed them of the deception as well and put in a complaint for the charge. I have NEVER been repeated lied to my face about any service. I got the phone as a cheap emergency phone with the basics and basics and got maxed out by T-Mobile with their agent lying about the entire process. I went online and phone an A13 phone for $35 on offerup. the A15 is NOT free. The A15 WILL FORCE you into a 24-month contract. The entire process was fraudulent and criminal. Being hung up on by the manager while I was trying to get this resolved was so disrespectful and proves the process is a scam. Stay away from this company at all costs.

Scammed with Free Trial by Merchant

i found this app on sunday, signed up for 7 day free trial. i was immediately charged on my credit card. i reached out to their support team via their email listed on the contact us page (at breeze-wellbeing com / contacts ) and requested to cancel the subscription since i signed up for a FREE TRIAL and was charged within an hour of signing up. Their support team's email response to me was this:

"I'd like to clarify that our trial period is a paid trial, not a free one. This information is clearly stated at the time of subscription. No worries, your subscription has been cancelled successfully. You won't see any more charges and you'll still enjoy the premium subscription till the end of this billing cycle. However, I do want to let you know that we are unable to process any refunds due to our no-refund policy, which is clearly stated in our ␥ Terms of Use ␥."

This merchant is using false advertising to trap people with charges forcing customers to have to file complaints and create posts like this to inform and protect others and then create/file disputes with their CC and banks. I reported this scam to Capital One and they immediately filed the dispute for me.

I will post on Yelp and Google Play Store as well so others are informed of this merchants scam tactics and practices listing/posting that it is a "Free Trial" when in fact they will charge you and claim it is a "PAID TRIAL."

I reached out to the merchant to cancel and request a refund within hours of the charge to my credit card and after 3 days they have decided to stop responding. I am really thankful I used my Capital One credit card so I can dispute the charge and BAN and BLOCK this merchant from any future attempts to charge me.

Please be weary of this merchant and online in general. If you are being offered a "FREE TRIAL" take a quick screenshot so you can provide it later. If i need to be contacted to provide documentation, I am happy to submit the full email chain and dispute information to validate this post and help protect others from this merchants scam tactics.
