Underhanded & unethical towards a pensioner
Like many of the comments below (18% of one star reviews 3.6 out of 5 on google), we are also currently experiencing a horrific situation with Finders International.
They were engaged to simply find the next of kin to my late include. Bearing in mind My mother’s details including name and recent address were found in my uncles flat, very little ‘work’ was required to track down my mother.
Finders contacted my mother, told her that her brother was dead and THEN took it upon themselves to convince my mother to sign away 23% of her family inheritance, all within FIVE DAYS of informing her of brothers death. No time to process, no time to grieve no time to consult a family solicitor. 5 days!!
My uncle had very little to his name and no probate is required therefore arranging his estate was a very simple matter ie one phone all to the bank and yet somehow Finders led my mother to believe their help was required to do that.
In addition, they have also failed to provide sufficient Subject Access Request. Firstly by point blank refusing to provide anything at all as they “are not a public company”, then when they did finally provide some information, it omitted all internal and external correspondence where my mothers data had been used). They also allowed key phone call to expire where they convinced my mother to sign this document signing away 23% of her family money. If they felt confident that there was no unethical or underhanded behaviour, why would they not keep those phone calls as evidence?!. Very convenient.
My mother is a pensioner in her late 70’s and the lack of empathy and cooperation that Finders continue to demonstrate is highly unethical and quite frankly very very disturbing. Be very very cautious and look for alternative assistance.
