Credit Card Fraud
There's nothing wrong with the car wash itself, it's their tactics. They lie about a free wash. They trick you to get you in a line where you can't get out without going through the wash, and in order to go through the wash you must pay, and in order to pay they are going to force you to sign up for their membership. Then the employees reveal that it does in fact cost 10 dollars minimum for a one time wash. I was lied to by an employee and thought I was signing up for a one time car wash for 9.99. Instead, he used my credit card to sign me up for a year long, automatic renewal membership at 22 dollars per month. He did not at any point tell to me that he was signing me up for a membership, probably because he knew I wouldn't actually buy one and so he decided he could do whatever he wanted with my card anyway. Will not be going back, and will be reporting for credit card fraud if any additional transactions go through.

The location you visited did host free washes for 12 days as part of their grand opening celebration. This event is 100% free for everyone and no purchase is required. Of course, our team will explain our services and offer our grand opening promotions to every customer, but all you need to do is politely decline and you can proceed with the free wash.
The promotion you are referring to was advertised in all signage, print, and social media posts as an introductory offer of $9.99 for the First Month of Unlimited Washes. All advertising also denotes that pricing returns to normal on the 2nd month. Our membership is a subscription that does auto-renew as our pricing boards and advertising state. When every account is created the customer signs the terms and conditions on the iPad in order to activate the account. We also immediately email the membership information which includes all the details of the membership such as the renewal date and the renewal price, our cancellation policies, and the terms and conditions to the customer when the account is created. We try to do everything possible to be clear with our customers. We apologize for any frustration this situation caused you and wish you the best.
