i’ve been customer for 5 days and I already really regret not doing my research before subscribing. I have an issue which I raised to customer support. No response. I posted about it on reddit. I raised the issue again and still got no response.
Basically I got Proton Pass Plus, when I logged into Proton Mail from the web and an offer popped up that I can upgrade to mail plus for just €1/month. The offer seemed to count the payment I made for Proton Pass Plus as some sort of "free credits". To me this clearly means I can combine both products (Pass Plus & Mail Plus) with one payment. Thinking this was a good deal I went ahead with it. My priority lies with Proton Pass though and if I have to choose (which I didn't know I would), I'd choose Proton Pass over Mail. To my surprise on the day after I discovered that my Proton Pass was downgraded from Plus to Free.
Other customers here say they faced the same issue, waited a whole week for a response on an obviously recurring problem. Others complain that their tickets took up to a month to solve. For a paid service? What a train wreck. Thanks to your intransparent advertising and obviously overloaded customer service I’m sitting on a payment with a non functioning password manager and an email service that I do not need.
definitely switching to another provider.
EDIT: i never received a response with a ticket number for both inquiries made over support webpage and directly via email
