Grateful my issue was fixed so quickly
I just want to start this off by saying it's clear that unfortunately many people have had bad experiences with Square Enix Customer Support, and so I was torn when I one of my figures I received from them snapped above the ball joint when I was (carefully) trying to pose it. After seeing the negative and totally valid reviews I considered trying to glue it back together but I wouldn't be able to change the pose or anything.
I decided to email them and they were so quick to respond. I sent it back and they covered the delivery costs once they received it, and a new one arrived in a couple of days despite it now being sold out as a preorder.
I feel bad for anyone who hasn't had the same experience and wish every issue/ticket across all companies could be like mine was. Very grateful and impressed with how quick it was resolved.
