Disappointed
Sadly feeling let down as always been happy with John Lewis, however my husband purchased a 55” Samsung TV as a Xmas present for our son, on meeting the delivery team, we noticed the TV had been transported laid flat & unsecured in a near empty lorry, clearly being subject to movement & bumps, when challenged the delivery team stated new TV’s were ok to be laid flat it only applied to older plasma models, however on contacting Samsung direct, they advised this was untrue and likely to cause damage, on raising a complaint 2 separate advisers seamed to have little concern, stating is there any damage? Clearly until the TV was with my son after Xmas we would be unaware, however the point was this shouldn’t have happened & we shoul not have been lied to by the delivery team.

Response from John Lewis still fail to see the point. Even if we accept the delivery crew genuinely believed they were correct (which we very much doubt) why would you transport a delicate item such as a TV laid flat and unsecured to float around with the movement of the vehicle in route.
