Unfair Return Policy & Poor Customer Service
I ordered two speakers from Argos — including the Creative Pebble — just to test them out and decide which one I preferred. After a brief trial at home, I decided to return both, since I found a better option online.
When I went to return them, Argos only accepted one. They refused to take back the Creative Pebble, claiming there was dust on the bottom and the wires had been untangled — and that this counted as evidence of use. I find that ridiculous. How else are you meant to test a product? I would never return something I hadn’t used at all — it’s the entire point of a return window.
This happened at the Waltham Cross branch, where the staff were unhelpful and inconsistent. One speaker was fine to return, but the other — in identical condition — was not. It felt like the staff were being difficult for no reason.
Argos seriously needs to review its return policy and retrain its team. I won’t be shopping here again.
