I would recommend The Admiralty Pub to anyone looking for traditional British cuisine at its best.
The Admiralty is part of the Fuller's Pub Group operating since 1845. This is a lovely pub situated in Trafalgar Square, opposite the National Portrait Gallery. The pub is located near the Prime Minister's Office, and from there it is only a short walk to Big Ben. The Admiralty is a wonderful combination of old world charm and modern atmosphere. The Pub offers a wide selection of drinks, including Fuller's favorites such as London Pride and ESB, as well as craft lagers such as Frontier. Fuller's ESB (Extra Special Bitter) was the CAMRA British Beer Champion in 1978, 1981 and 1985. In addition, ESB won the World Champion Beer award twice, earning it the nickname "The Champion Ale"!
Admiralty might be the perfect place if you're craving a traditional Sunday roast! My Sunday roast was a truly delightful dining experience!
For my Sunday roast, I ordered Sirloin of Owton's beef with a variety of vegetables for £24.95. I received 3 pieces of juicy medium-rare beef with a unique roast flavor, plus a generous bouquet of vegetables, i.e. young carrots, young cabbage and cauliflower. Golden roasted potatoes were fluffy inside and crispy on the outside. There was also delicious and wonderfully puffed Yorkshire pudding.
My overall dining experience at The Admiralty was truly amazing and I would recommend it to anyone looking for traditional British cuisine at its best.
