Main problem was the aircraft used for…

Main problem was the aircraft used for a 4+ hours flight was inappropriate. We all felt jammed in with no space. My knees were banged against the seat in front every time the passenger in front moved. No space for the clutter of travelling eg paper sweet wrappings etc. the biggest problem of all was the hard seats!!

Staff directed us down the steps for wheelchair access, my partner was able to do this activity but left a problem getting him the wheelchair from the other side of the plane, but assistance was excellent at all airports particularly Las Palmas, Gran Canaria.

I have only received one voucher…

I have only received one voucher instead of two!!! I still then have to go back to virgin website again before being able to use the voucher! Also the block of red on the voucher uses my expensive ink, I do not have access to an office printer!

Guess what second voucher has just arrived!

I couldn’t work out how to pay by egift card. The language used implied buying a gift card not paying with it!

Great resort

Great resort. Superb hotel. Wonderful weather. Good airport experience going out from Birmingham at a good time. Best to book a taxi from Gran Canaria airport as transfer time is often very long. Good return flight. Helpful jet2 staff at airport but a terrible return time, quite exhausting for the mature traveller.

Excellent hotel and good customer…

Excellent hotel and good customer service from hotel and het2 staff. Return transfer times are the biggest problem in terms of time taken from hotel from hotel to airport is much longer than stated and time of flight makes it too exhausting for older people if there is a long journey home from the airport. But with daytime outbound AND return flights you couldn’t get a better holiday both hotel and resort. Although not a stag/hen resort as quite quiet and everywhere except hotel closes by midnight.

The only hiccup was our seating on the…

The only hiccup was our seating on the flight out which caused a problem. My partner cannot bend his left knee and our seats were changed from aisle to A and B. Luckily another passenger agreed to change his aisle seat. Unfortunately the head of cabin crew was out of her depth, not sure how to cope but polite. I contacted Leeds to change seating for our return flight and they were excellent. The return flight time from Gran Canaria is a nightmare and took us three days to get over it. This is a regular trip for us but we shall have to change airlines next year. Arriving back at 11pm is acceptable but 2am for us oldies is really a no no, we no longer have the ability to bounce back.
