Yelp over regulates and gets it wrong

Yelp over regulates, offering zero options to clarify. Specifically, I am a former owner of a business. The business changed hands and eventually the name changed. After my time as the owner, I became a customer. I left a positive review. Yelp has removed my valid review, and chosen to insist that I still manage the page, even though I have not for several years. I have notified them numerous times that I am no longer the manager of this business. To no avail. Why can I not easily sign off as manager? Why is there no inquiry form, to clarify? The over regulation actually makes Yelp less accurate and reflective of the truth.

Review of Carvana

I could not have imagined an experience…

I could not have imagined an experience this bad, until it played out. I initiated a purchase on 9/30/24. By 10/2/24, Carvana had the 3 things they needed: proof of insurance, a signed contract, and payment in full (verified by their bank-Wells Fargo). For 3 business days following, I was bombarded by e-mails, texts, and phone calls stating that payment needed to be made or the contract would expire. I was told by a customer service agent that Carvana was behind on recording payments, and that the truck would be delayed no matter what because the inspection & detailing had not been completed (Carvana states in the listing that the inspection had been completed). On 10/6 I cancelled the purchase, as it was clear Carvana was not handling their business well. I spoke to another agent and was told initially they might be keeping the $990 shipping fee for a truck that was not due to ship until 10/15. Then, after speaking to a supervisor, she guaranteed a full refund, due to their errors. The truck was immediately offered up for sale on Carvana’s website, and has been in the process of another sale since. It is 10/16 today. Carvana has made NO attempt to contact me, no refund, nothing. $33,257 that Carvana still has of my extremely hard-earned money. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, a fraud claim with my bank, and multiple bad reviews. The next step is a lawsuit for all expenses incurred. This company has stolen hours if my time & caused an immense amount of stress. Apparently integrity is an absolute joke to this company.

Sold cars listed for sale

After pursuing inquiries for several vehicles on the Edmunds website, I have come to the conclusion that Edmunds is largely a bait & switch for car dealerships. All the cars were sold, but still listed. Now I have auto dealerships calling & e-mailing about how they can “help” me with another vehicle. A huge waste of time & majorly frustrating.

confusing return policy, horrible smell, poor quality

Unfortunately, the online images do not match the actual fabrics, and the quality is well below the prices they are asking.

What I received does not at all look like what I ordered. A direct quote from Joybird customer service "it can be hard to get photos of all the fabrics we offer on all the items, especially if they are newer. In those instances, we use computer renderings of the fabric, which, unfortunately, aren't as accurate". After contacting customer service, I was lead to believe that if I submitted my details during the 14 day window, that there was an option to return the item. In the end, they denied a return/refund. An incredible waste of time, as well as misleading.

Another note about the Lewis Loveseat: the main cushion for this item is canted, so it is higher & more filled in the back of the cushion, than in the front. The cushion causes you to slide forward, and the cushion itself does not stay in place...it also slides forward.

Additionally, the cushion sinks where you sit, so anything you set beside you rolls to the low point. It also makes the loveseat very uncomfortable.

I must mention the smell....this piece of furniture has the strongest off-gas of any piece of furniture I have ever purchased. 3 weeks, and it is still filling our house with a very toxic smell.

Overall, a huge disappointment & not near the quality I was expecting.

their support team has made a mess of my account

Bluehost has made changes to their operating system. These changes were very poorly executed, interrupting e-mail service for 3 days now. No word still on when I can expect to access my e-mail. All of my to & from messages are bouncing back. I have spent 4 hours on the phone, trying to get answers. I was told they would get it fixed and call me back. I was told it would be another 24 hours. Neither turned out to be true. My e-mail is a key component to my business! How grossly unprofessional of this company.

p.s. If the agent that just replied thinks I am going to sit on hold for another 40-50 minutes, just to to talk to someone who is going to tell me to be patient, she is out of her mind. She knows full well that the Bluehost system is down. How much do you all want to bet that she sent the request for more information to my e-mail account that isn't working?

horrible communication & unreliable delivery

The title of this review sums it up. Anthropologie has become so corporate that they cannot communicate necessary information with their customers. This is hugely time wasting & inconsiderate. Due to their highly unreliable delivery carrier (OnTrac), packages have been stolen on the public sidewalk-directly outside our front door. I was told if I called the order in, I could request a different carrier. So 20 minutes of placing a phone order, only to have Anthropologie cancel it without any reason given. So, I placed it again. Cancelled again. No explanation provided. An outrageous waste of time.

Backcountry is no longer customer focused

Backcountry is no longer customer service focused. They switched to OnTrac, which is absolutely unreliable for our area. My package has been floating around, undelivered for a week. So much back & forth. So much of my time & energy wasted just to track down the where-abouts of a pair of shoes. This is a repeat of what happened on my last order with this company. It is now the final time, as I will not order from Backcountry again after being a customer for over 15 years.

They over complicate their return…

They over complicate their return policy & do not provide enough information with the order documents they send, nor online. Instead, it is very gimicky & expensive to return an item. Won't order again.
