Very poor delivery experience
We ordered carpets and sofas from SCS. We are pleased with the quality, and the price we paid, hence the 2 stars. Unfortunately, the delivery experience for these items has been very poor, hence just 2 stars. So much so, that I could not recommend SCS to someone. The problem with today's sofa delivery was the lack of accuracy on the delivery estimate. Message received night before confirming delivery 7 to 12, with caveat that this may drift though. I was up and ready to receive delivery at 06:30. Then at 09:00 received update that delivery would be 10:05. Then nothing. No updates. Finally arrived at 14:00, 4 hours after 1 hour estimate window. I challenged the drivers, they knew nothing about the estimate and said our delivery was never going to be here much before 14:00. When I mentioned the 07:00 earliest time, they told me this was impossible because the lorry isn't even loaded at the warehouse until 07:30. Why set such an early delivery estimate?! I appreciate delivery times have some drift, but at least have the decency to update the customer. Bear in mind delivery is not free, it's £80. On its own today's delivery experience was just frustrating, but coupled with the issues we had with the carpet installation, I do regret giving SCS my custom, despite the quality of the product.
