Review of California Car Cover

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Don’t waste your time. NOT custom.

Terrible company. Summary is don’t waste your time unless you want to end up wasting hours of your time trying to return the product that doesn’t live up to expectations, and spending money on shipping it back. These guys are scammers.
I Bought a custom windshield shade. Before I purchased, I asked for a picture to see how it would fit my car. I emphasized a perfect fit around the rear view mirror was key. They sent me a picture. Looked like a perfect fit. When I received the shade it didn’t fit at all. I wrote them and sent them some pictures showing it did not fit my car. He wrote me back and said he didn’t have the pic his colleague sent me of the fit so I had to send him the pic he should have had in the email chain. He wrote back again and said their manufacturer said they sent the right shade even though it didn’t fit my car. He then said he was on my side in working with the manufacturer. It was as if he denied having any type of accountability for selling me a product that didn’t fit, and that he was only a neutral, third-party mediating between me and the manufacturer whom I’ve never even dealt with .He told me that my best bet is to send more pictures from the angles that would match the manufacturer’s pictures. So I obliged, even though I thought that was absolutely nonsense since the pictures that I sent showed clearly that the shade did not fit. And he also said I should explain to the manufacturer my issue. To me it’s completely ridiculous that I have to argue with the manufacturer when California car cover should be doing that. They acted like they were a neutral third-party with no accountability for the products they are selling and marketing as custom. . So I sent back all the requested info and said I wanted a full refund and a free shipping label. Finally, he gave me a shipping label and I sent the shade back but they still charged me $14 for shipping back their crap product.

Yelp removed my true review of Dioro Jewelers

Yelp is not a trustworthy source. I bought diamonds from Dioro Jewelers located in Dublin, CA and San Francisco, CA and was swindled by the owner Corinne. I got a GIA appraisal and it contradicted the paperwork I received from Dioro and the diamonds. Everytime I put up a review on Yelp for Dioro, it is immediately removed. I believe that Vendors can pay Yelp to remove negative reviews.

More cons than pros

Well I just ordered a light there and here’s my experience so far.
Plus: the light price was good. They ship to my location. The speed of the site was good. You can actually text with someone if there’s an issue.
Minus: the search tool isn’t that helpful for colors and styles. My first time buyer discount ended up being capped at 10% and after I actually paid for it, the discount disappeared. So that’s pretty crappy. Also the price dropped by $25 after I purchased. I took a screenshot and sent to them since they have a low price guarantee. None of their emails worked. And they no longer answer the phone. Now I’m chatting with an agent via text chat. He says he cannot match the low price on their own site ($25.31). Finally after much bickering he has agreed to refund $25. He told me my order won’t arrive until the 13th. I was in the process of asking him about the 3 day delivery guarantee when he just closed the chat. I had to open another chat. This other agent argued with me that the offer the first agent provided was a one time refund. After a lot of arguing he agreed to provide another $10 for the delayed delivery.
Conclusion:
Not a smooth, efficient online process and dealing with the agents wasn’t pleasant. Seems like a lot of misleading advertising that doesn’t deliver unless you have time to spend to argue and force them to make good on their promises. But the price was good and at least you can text with someone if there’s an issue.

Review of Carvana

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This is the worst car buying experience…

This is the worst car buying experience I’ve ever had. First the car was missing all of the all weather mats I purchased. I still haven’t received them after going back and forth on several calls with them. The car was also very dirty. I had to get it detailed. The cheapest detailing I could find was $265. So far they have reimbursed me $100 of that after several calls and texts back and forth with them. Next, the wind shield wipers are not new so now I need to purchase another set of those. Finally there is no owners manual. They sent me a link but it’s the wrong manual. I texted with an advocate and I told them I could buy one online for $70 and I would like to get reimbursed for that. She just kept explaining that Carvana doesn’t guarantee the car comes with manuals and was very sorry for the inconvenience. I kept telling her I needed solutions and not lip service. She seemed to enjoy passively aggressively antagonizing me by sympathizing with me without giving me any solutions. I told her to F off and then she unsubscribed me and told me it was a pleasure speaking with me. Very bad customer service. Save yourself some frustration with the basic things you should expect after dropping $30k cash.
You can’t test drive. There is no accountability only lip service after the fact. Save yourself some frustration and just go to the dealership.
