THESE 5-STAR REVIEWS MUST BE FAKE

11/3/2025

Oh, thanks — but perhaps your team should take a moment to read your own CFPB responses before posting the same empty line here. The contradictions between what you tell regulators and what you post publicly are exactly why Regional Finance looks so disorganized and untrustworthy. You’ve had every chance to address this professionally, yet your responses continue to prove my point.

THESE 5-STAR REVIEWS MUST BE FAKE – REGIONAL FINANCE IS A NIGHTMARE TO DEAL WITH

I HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH A COMPANY SO DISORGANIZED AND DISRESPECTFUL. EVEN AFTER MY INSURANCE COMPANY ISSUED PAYMENT DIRECTLY TO REGIONAL FINANCE TO COVER MY LOAN, THEY CONTINUE TO HARASS ME WITH AUTOMATED CALLS EARLY IN THE MORNING. I HAVE PROVIDED DOCUMENTED PROOF, FILED WITH THE CFPB, BBB, DFPI, AND FTC, AND STILL RECEIVE NO ACCOUNTABILITY. THEIR “CUSTOMER SERVICE” IS NONEXISTENT AND THEIR COMMUNICATION IS NOTHING BUT HARASSMENT.

THESE FIVE-STAR REVIEWS MUST BE FAKE BECAUSE NO REAL CUSTOMER WOULD ENDURE THIS LEVEL OF NEGLIGENCE AND DISREGARD FOR CONSUMERS’ RIGHTS. I’VE BEEN PATIENT AND PROFESSIONAL — NOW IT’S TIME FOR REGULATORS TO STEP IN.

Subject: PREDATORY, UNETHICAL, AND DISMISSIVE PRACTICES – SHOW CREDIT CARD / BANK OF MISSOURI

TITLE: PREDATORY AND ABUSIVE PRACTICES – NO HARDSHIP, ONLY HARASSMENT

REVIEW:
This company is a disgrace. I reached out about my financial hardship and made it clear I wanted WRITTEN COMMUNICATION ONLY — my legal right under the FDCPA. Instead of offering help, Show Credit Card (Bank of Missouri) continued to pile on late fees and even tacked on an annual fee, pushing my minimum over $200! I’ve received nothing but harassment texts and canned responses.

This is an abusive and predatory operation that preys on struggling consumers. There’s ZERO compassion, ZERO accountability, and ZERO compliance with consumer protection laws. I’ve already filed with the CFPB, BBB, and FTC — and I will continue to report every violation. Consumers, BE WARNED.

IMAGINE VISA – PREDATORY, UNRESPONSIVE, AND HEARTLESS COMPANY

Title: IMAGINE VISA IS A SCAM DISGUISED AS A CREDIT CARD COMPANY

I have contacted Imagine Visa several times regarding my job loss and my request for hardship assistance — and the so-called “virtual chat” stated they do not offer hardship options. That is not only unacceptable, it’s irresponsible and deceptive for a company that markets itself as “helping people rebuild credit.”

Imagine Visa (Atlanticus Services Corporation) has shown zero compassion or accountability. Their customer service is nonexistent, their “credit protection” plan is misleading, and there’s no clear contact email for assistance. Everything funnels you through a robotic chatbot that gives canned responses. That’s not help — that’s neglect.

When consumers are struggling, your answer should not be, “We can’t help.” The FTC, CFPB, and DFPI have been notified, as this company fails to provide fair and transparent support. Under the FDCPA and TILA, consumers have the right to written communication and protection from unfair billing or collection practices.

If Imagine Visa thinks silence, denial, and late-fee piling are acceptable business practices, they are mistaken. Every ignored message, every canned reply, and every refusal to work with customers is being documented and shared with the regulators.

This is the definition of predatory behavior. I reached out in good faith — before falling behind — and received nothing in return but vague answers and robotic responses.

Imagine Visa is not a credit-building tool — it’s a trap.
To anyone reading this: Document everything. Don’t call, don’t waste your time. File with the CFPB, FTC, and BBB so these practices stop for good.

Review of Prosper

I’ve been paying on a closed Prosper…

I’ve been paying on a closed Prosper credit card account for years, and when I lost my job and asked for help, they refused to offer any hardship or settlement options. The rep I spoke to was extremely rude and dismissive, showing zero compassion or flexibility.

I made a simple request for email-only communication (due to being out of the country), and they still insisted on sending physical mail — violating my privacy concerns. They’d rather see you default than assist.

If you’re expecting any real support during financial hardship, look elsewhere. Prosper treats loyal customers like problems. Shameful.

These” glowing” reviews must either have never experienced a hardship or haven’t actually tried to get real help from this company.

All these 5-star reviews must be from…

All these 5-star reviews must be from people who haven’t needed help yet — because once you do, Mission Lane vanishes.

I was a loyal customer with perfect payment history — never missed a due date. When I lost my job, I reached out ahead of time asking for short-term hardship assistance. I didn’t ask to walk away — just a little help: a deferment, payment plan, or even a grace period.

Their response? “We’ve noted your account.” That’s it.

No flexibility. No options. They even said I’ll still be reported late — after I proactively asked for help. I also requested written-only communication (which I have a right to), and they ignored that too. Told me to call. Why? So they can pretend nothing was said in writing?

Mission Lane rewards silence and punishes responsibility. If you’re ever in a real-life situation — job loss, medical emergency, etc. — don’t expect this company to have your back.

They’re great… until they’re not. And then they’ll turn on you, fast.

What a scam of a company

What a scam of a company. I reached out multiple times, as I was recently laid off from my job. I wanted to be proactive, so I reached out to their useless customer service team who gave me the runaround about “no late fees, make a partial payment” crap speech and then I was directed to their site where you fill out a questionnaire to see if one could qualify for a hardship plan. I always get an “error message” or “please refresh” and I have brought this to the attention to EVERY rep that I have spoken to. Nothing, useless, like talking to a damn wall. They are not “there for the customers” like they claim to be. They aren’t willing to work with you at all! they give you the script version of every question that you can think of and don’t care period. So pretty much ladies and gentlemen, godforbid you fall on hard times, you can count on this company to NOT work with you.. Stupid service.

Affirm is a scam and a money racket,

Affirm is a scam and a money racket. I have spoken to countless reps. emailed, called and everyone is useless. I recently lost my job and wanted to inquire about a hardship plan while I am job searching and ALL the Affirm robots directed me to this coronavirus link where I had to answer two questions. Each time I answer the two questions, the page just spins and spins and gets me nowhere! Don’t give me the bs it’s my browser because I have tried different browsers.. I always get the “try refreshing the page” message with a dinosaur. This company is a scam who claims to “care about their customers” yet their own teams can’t even help you properly. I’m sick of this company and can’t wait until I am finally done paying off my loans with them.

Affirm is a company that I would NOT…

Affirm is a company that I would NOT recommend to my friends or a family. I agree with all the reviews here: they are bunch of crooks with a pathetic Customer Service team. Like everyone else, I fell on hard times during covid and inquired about a payment or hardship plan, I called their number and was advised to use the online formate and apply for the covid- assistance program. I don’t know if anyone else had issues with this, but every time I would fill out the questionnaire and submit, it would take forever for the page to load and would give me the “something went wrong need to refresh the page” Every stupid csr rep i spoke to where i explained the situation gave me stupid answers as “our it team is working on fixing this try again later” or “we will get back to you in 5 business days” LIARS issues was NEVER solved! this company is a hoax and I can’t wait until I am finished paying off these stupid loans so I can close this god damn account once and for all. They take your company,
offer no hardship assistance and the entire team is absolutely useless. Why the hell does it take this long to fix your stupid website? They are a bunch of LIARS
