UNETHICAL BEHAVIOUR
I recently purchased a pair of joggers which were for £825 but I got them for £419 due to them being in sale. I only had them for 6 weeks and wore them twice when I noticed the embroidery was coming loose. I contacted Flannels and advised them of the situation. They told me to send them back and they will inspect them after which they will exchange them for a new pair. I was happy with this and sent the joggers back. A few days later I got a email advising that my return had been accepted and the refund processed. Shocked to hear this I rang Flannels and asked them why was I given a refund and not a exchange as promised. They advised that the joggers where no longer in stock hence why they cannot give a exchange. The best they would do is 20% discount on any future orders plus free delivery. Clearly I was not pleased. After a day or so I looked on the website and my joggers were still on there but at the full price of £825. I rang back as a anonymous caller and asked if they still had them in stock and the adviser told me yes and would I like to place a order.
I now knew what had happened. As the product was now at full price, I was told lies about it being out of stock to get out of giving me a £825 item for £419. I had asked the advisor that the 20% discount does not seem logical as I bought a item with a 50% discount. They were not very helpful. I have purchased quite a few high end items from Flannels over the past year and I would have expected some customer respect and dignity. this whole experience has been very unethical for a business in the UK and underhanded. Shopping with Flannels is great but if you find a problem with you item get ready for the lies when they try to squirm their way out giving to what should rightfully be yours. I will provide a update if I find anything changes. Thank god for the world of social media where frustrations can be aired
