Excellent technical support from Telnyx engineers
I had a very specific SIP issue with my Asterisk server: inbound calls were being disconnected exactly after 5 minutes, but only during audio recording.
I opened a support ticket and Ilja from Telnyx support took the time to analyze my SIP traces and found that Asterisk wasn’t sending session refreshes during AGI record_file().
He clearly explained the root cause (session timer expiration) and suggested practical solutions — enabling SIP session timers and periodic re-INVITEs.
I really appreciate the competence and patience of the Telnyx team. You can tell they understand the technical side deeply, not just reading from a script.
