**BetterHelp has been a life-changing experience
**BetterHelp has been a life-changing experience, and I’m so glad I finally signed up to seek help. The website is easy to navigate and offers many tools to support your journey. When looking for a therapist, there are countless options, and you can filter through a drop-down menu to find someone who fits not only your needs and goals but also your cultural background, age preference, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, and even gender preference.
You can connect with your therapist through phone calls, messaging, or video sessions. BetterHelp also sends appointment reminders via email and text. While I do find the number of reminders excessive—they start two days before and come frequently—it’s helpful to know you won’t miss your session. Personally, I think one reminder the day before and one an hour before would be plenty, especially since you can add sessions to your calendar.
Beyond appointments, BetterHelp provides excellent tools like journaling (which you can keep private or share with your therapist), goal setting, and progress tracking. You can also message your therapist anytime and receive responses in real time.
Another great feature is access to group therapy sessions with people facing similar situations. The list of available groups is extensive, with many times to choose from, and each is guided by a licensed therapist. There are also classes you can take to further support your personal growth.
Overall, BetterHelp gives you flexibility, variety, and meaningful support, making the process of seeking therapy approachable and impactful.**
