Activation issues in Hong Kong (resolved)
(Updated from 1 star after a super helpful and very lengthy support chat lasting over an hour). The start (yesterday) wasn't great: I couldn't activate my esim (error message) after arriving in Hong Kong. I tried different ways to resolve this, but had no success. Error message suggested there might be an issue with the esim. I then bought another esim with the same result. After this I received sms messages asking me to click a link, presumably to fix it. The link was fully in Chinese, I tried finding my way through but no success. One day later: the support chat walked me through all the steps. It turned out the automatic install had an incorrect apn setting and a new web link I received had a page that allowed me to switch from Chinese to English, requesting me to add 'real name' information including a passport photo. Now it works. I trust the apn setting and web link will be fixed so others have a smooth experience, and if you travel to HK or CN be aware of the 'real name' verification.
