I had the misfortune of unwittingly purchasing a bootleg version of Shout Factory's WKRP complete series boxed set. It looked convincing, but it was missing discs, duplicates of others and, they didn't play!

I spoke to Shout Factory and they advised me how to tell if it was a bootleg (besides the obvious) and it definitely was NOT genuine.

So, I sprung for the more expensive, but AUTHENTIC boxed set and was assured that if any issues arise with THEIR boxed set, it will be quickly rectified!

The loser who sold me the fake won't even return my emails. Thankfully, I got them removed from the platform from which they were selling.

Lesson learned: you get what you pay for! I'll never buy from anyone but Shout Factory again!

Since my loc bookshop closed, ThriftBooks is my go-to on the days I need a book but don't want to take the 4 hour drive to the next nearest shop!

Ordered from a legit company. They recommended I use Route to track my order. I click ok, Route adds insurance I did not agree to (knowingly- I'm sure it's hidden in the fine print). When I attempt to delete my account to prevent further such shenanigans with other merchants, a litany of automatically generated emails "updating" my request. Which wasn't a request- it was a demand.

Unscrupulous, scamming dirt bags. Don't believe me? Punch in route.com into the Better Business Bureau's complaint site. Not only do they steal money, they don't actually offer the service they charge you for! Avoid these punks like the plague.
