Lovely mirror but delayed delivery

Lovely mirror, but the whole experience was let down by delays. I originally ordered on 18th August and expected delivery within a few days (as promised on the site). Then I was told the item would be delayed, but dispatched the following week on 26th Aug. I was okay with this, however due to another delay, I didn’t receive the item until 3rd Sept.

Joby in customer services was very sympathetic and helpful but unfortunately, due to the delays, I incurred additional costs as the original workmen who had been booked to refurbish and install various items at my property all through August, had left by September, so I had to pay for the mirror to be installed by a separate tradesman and incurred extra costs.

Fast delivery despite the blinds were…

Fast delivery despite the blinds were made to measure. All arrived and easy to install. Had a problem with one blind and customer service was excellent, resolving the issue promptly. Would definitely recommend.

Great company with a nice variety of…

Great company with a nice variety of products. Fast delivery. Good looking radiator, only 4 stars because, for such an expensive product, it had absolutely no measurements on there. I spent hours working out where the brackets should go, using mainly guesswork. A template would have been extremely helpful and saved a lot of time as the radiator requires the valves to be perfectly inline horizontally with pipes for a perfect fit.

I’ve not had a great experience with…

I’ve not had a great experience with Victorian plumbing. I ordered a whole bathroom set of the Chatsworth Range (which was not cheap) for my new bathroom refurb. After getting everything installed, the toilet seat and bath panel started to warp within a few weeks. I contacted customer services, and to be fair they did refund me for those items, however, having already paid for installation, I had no choice but to keep them in situ. Months later, my matching mirror and tall boy also succumbed to the warping and my bathroom looked absolutely horrendous after only a year.

I also recently ordered another expensive item from them, a designer radiator and surprised to see they still charge £20 for delivery on such a high cost item. I had builders install everything in readiness. The item showed in stock on their website, with a 7 day delivery. When it hadn’t arrived, I emailed and was told was out of stock. So I waited another month for it to come back in stock, only to be told again it’s still out of stock and I’ll have to wait another 2-3 weeks! Absolutely horrendous, in the mean time, my bedroom refurb has been on hold for months waiting for this item.

Unfortunately, I have cancelled the order and I will never order from this company again.

Fantastic service. I ordered two made-to-measure fireplaces. Darren and Catherine were very helpful in advising on sizes and matching hearths and back panels. The prices were very competitive and the fireplaces are absolutely beautiful, I’m so pleased with my purchase and highly recommend LowCostFireplaces.

Awful company to deal with

Awful company to deal with. Initially promised my flat would be snapped up in less than 2 weeks. They told me the price I wanted was very reasonable.

The information they put up online was all incorrect, from service charge, ground rent to rental yield. They didn’t mention any positive features, like my 5 metre balcony. They even published the price £20-30k lower to mislead buyers and consistently drop it week by week. I don’t know what the point is, because once buyers enquire and find out the actual asking price, they run a mile!

Their marketing photos looked awful , dull (tenants in situ so it was cluttered and messy). I had my own professional pictures i asked them to use instead, but they kept dismissing me saying “investors don’t care about what it looks like, they just want to know about profits”. Of course buyers care what the property looks like. This is a no brainer!

Trying to get in touch with anyone was a nightmare, no calls answered, no emails answered, I rarely heard from them. In the end, my flat was online for over 4 months with absolutely no interest and no discussion on strategies moving forward.

A complete waste of my time and to top it off, they are undervaluing my flat by putting up similar flats on Rightmove at a ‘fake’ lower price!! I now have to wait until this scam company finally removes their fake listings before I can actually ask a reasonable price for my flat.

Both buyers and sellers should avoid at all costs!

Regarding the properties we list, we have strict criteria in place. As you may be aware, not all properties will sell. We use a data-based approach to determine which properties are likely to perform well on the market and which are not. This means we do not list every property that comes our way. And when we do list a property, the chances of it selling for the price we suggest, is very high.

All information listed online is gathered directly from the sellers by our agents. This information forms the basis of the property listing. We also require that all compliance measures and necessary documentation are provided before listing. Once the property is listed, we send the details to the seller for confirmation to ensure accuracy.

As for the photos used, these were professionally taken. The photos you suggested we use do not show the property in its true condition. For instance, presenting a tenanted property as empty could misrepresent it. Investors are typically looking to see the property in its actual condition.

Communication is something we take very seriously. We have made it a top priority to ensure all sellers have a positive experience. Recently, we created a dedicated team within the business to provide sellers with a single point of contact and regular updates.

I bought a platinum 25L eco…

I bought a platinum 25L eco dehumidifier for almost £300, two years ago. I find it very ‘convenient’ that as soon as the warranty ran out, the machine throws up a C8 error and nothing can be done about it. It’s ridiculous that an appliance costing that much will only last for two years. I could have rented an item for less! The appliance was never dropped or moved at all (as has been suggested in the reply below). It stayed in the same location for two years when the error suddenly occurred spontaneously. If this is a common error with this machine, then it should be clearly stated at the time of purchase - I don’t know why the weight of the machine has anything to do with it (as stated below in the reply). Don’t buy from this company. They offered me 20% off another appliance but I won’t be purchasing from them again - £60 off another £300 machine which won’t last 24 months? No thank you. There are other companies with much better customer service, despite the warranty running out, these better companies will still offer free repairs / replacements or better still, don’t sell machines with ‘common’ faults that cannot be repaired! No one expects a £300 appliance to last just two years. Totally unacceptable.

The 25L Low Energy is a heavy dehumidifier and the most common problem that people will find with this machine is a C8 code which occurs when the unit has been dropped.

We don't have these issues on our other dehumidifiers as they are significantly lower in weight.

This is very frustrating as it is a non repairable fault and often can occur during transit, but we always look to help our customers by offering:

- Free packaging to try protect the machines (for customers within their warranty).
- Free repairs where possible (for customers outside of their warranty).

Through this we are able to help thousands of customers every year.

Unfortunately it doesn't work out for everyone and we are truly sorry for this.

The discount offer on a new unit will always available for you and we're sorry that we couldn't help you on this occasion.

Great value. Prompt delivery. We bought the monkey fort woodland climbing frame play set for the kids. I thought the price was good. I’ve Only given 4 stars because the play set feels a little less sturdy than ones we’ve had previously and the accessories (telescope and steering wheel) do not come with any instructions.

Ridiculously long wait

We ordered in April and were told it would be a 20 week wait for 4 bar stools (approximately delivery in September). This was a long wait, but we were willing to wait 4 months. We then received 2 further emails, each stating a further 13-15 weeks delays. I called customer service to query this, as the stools were still being sold online with only a 6 week delivery lead time. I was told this was an error on the website, and she then assured us there should be no more further delays and I should get them at the end of October as the initial problem with delays had been resolved.

I’ve just, today, received yet another email stating further delays (“13-15 weeks from the date of this email”) which will take us to late December! The website still states only an 8 week wait for these stools, yet we are now being given a lead time of up to 15 extra weeks, so will have been waiting 8 months! Frustrating is not the word. The most frustrating part is that each time the delivery date draws closer, they then push it back another 15 weeks, so there is no guarantee that we will actually ever receive these Stools.

Really good price and speedy delivery

Really good price and speedy delivery. However I did find the rug to be very thin and when laid on my hard wood flooring, it didn’t provide any comfort underfoot, even though it was a ‘luxury long pile’ rug, it felt too hard for the kids to lie or play on.
