Grossly Underwhelmed.
I went in to Currys PC World in Lincoln and bought two TV sets, wall brackets and a quantity of cables and fittings which the salesman insisted that I needed, I also booked a slot to have the appliances fitted and received all the contracted details via several emails from the store. I spent over two thousand pounds. As my wife and I are both elderly and disabled and live in a rural environment with no close family, we had to pay someone to come and remove certain items in preparation for the fitting in compliance with instructions from Currys PC World. We waited all day, but the installer didn't turn up. Customer Services couldn't reach the installer but promised to get the job done `as soon as possible. Five days later the engineer arrived and fitted the two televisions, but seemed in a hurry to get the job done and leave....he turned both TV's on to show that they were working and left, leaving behind all the packaging, including bits of polystyrene, clips, bits of cable - and piles of brick dust on shelves and in the weave of both lounge and bedroom carpets. The TV's were fitted to wall brackets, or they were supposed to be, but after he'd left we found the bedroom wall bracket at the bottom of the large box which had housed the TV, the TV itself had been fixed flat to the wall - and yet I'd paid over £100 for the bracket! He also left exposed cables dangling down the wall, when in fact the contract included enclosing any cables within white trunking; it also included the removal of all packaging, but I had to contact the county council and register, and then book a time slot to take all the packaging myself to the refuse amenity site - then employ a cleaner to clear up all the mess.
We feel cheated and following this awful experience would advise anyone considering having similar work done and organised by Currys PC World to think again!
