Disappointing Experience at Vienna Airport Lounge
I’m an Amex Platinum cardholder and visited the Vienna Airport Lounge on 29th September 2025 around 9am with my wife and my 14-year-old son.
We had to wait in a queue for around 20 minutes before being allowed in, and once inside, there were no seats available. The only space left was a small office-style room, where we had to sit at a desk — hardly a comfortable or premium environment.
To make matters worse, I had to pay €30 each for my two guests (€60 in total), which made the experience feel even more disappointing considering the very basic food options and overcrowded conditions.
It was quite embarrassing in front of my family, and overall, the visit felt more like being herded through a process than enjoying a premium lounge. For the level of service and comfort expected from an Amex Platinum experience, this fell well short.
Honestly, we would have been better off sitting in the main terminal area.
