Top notch service

Called searching for a part that was on back order with Dewalt. The chap I spoke to was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me, he spoke with the parts department and they managed to find a used non stock item that they sold me at a reduced price, Really helped me out and saved me waiting for the part to come in stock with Dewalt. Absolutely top service and it arrived the next day on Saturday.

EXPLOITING TRADES PEOPLE AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY

I have been a Checkatrade member for over 5 years now and they have massively gone down hill in recent times. Fees have dramatically increased and lead performance and quality has plummeted.

I have tried to call several times to discuss my dissatisfaction only to be advised I need to spend MORE money to try and increase my lead which I did in good faith and I can confirm it did not make a difference.

I have now been informed my current membership will be discontinued and I am to move to an even worse membership plan now where my lead are capped at 130 A YEAR for nearly £400 a month.

This is a platform that does not care about its most important asset THE TRADES PEOPLE who actually do the work to keep such a service like Checkatrade in existence, Checkatrade have completely forgotten this and are exploiting trades people at every given opportunity.

Massively disappointing, after the tens os thousands I have spent with them over the years not an ounce of support in return.

Disgusting.

I Genuinely can not speak highly enough…

I Genuinely can not speak highly enough of Brenthams furniture, we found these guys online when we were hunting for stressless furniture and they were by far the best prices that we found. Right from the very first moment Andy was extremely helpful and guided us through the purchasing process. We were kept informed all along the way, we did have some delays with the furniture due to adverse sailing conditions, but again, we were kept in the loop with everything. Genuinely one of the best companies I have dealt with in a very long time, it is very refreshing to know that there are still companies such as this out there. Every need was accommodated, every question was answered, and all with friendly and great customer service, Andy in particular was just great! The delivery driver who delivered our two Reno armchairs today was very friendly and helpful also.

As for Stressless the quality seems second to none, everything arrived extremely well packaged and in immaculate condition, time will tell the true test but we have every faith that we have many comfy years ahead.

Could not recommend strongly enough, we will be using these guys for all of our furnishing needs going forward.

Unbelievably bad, avoid!

I have genuinely never dealt with a company so unbelievably bad. We have had trouble all throughout the ordering and install process to the point it was almost unbearable to deal with, endless amounts of calls to try and get things resolved and all we were ever told was we will call back tomorrow and almost every time the call back never came. The left hand of Hammond’s does not know what the right hand is doing, the organisation and communication is non existent.

We were left with unfinished furniture for weeks on end. Wrong parts were sent, things were missing. We had a huge surveyor error (even after two visits) which has made the operation on the furniture almost impossible and we were forced to take a payment to keep it like this as there was no other option. When the fitter came back to “complete” the work there were parts missing yet again meaning we were still left with an unfinished job. I can really not express without a small story how terribly bad the customer service and service in general is from Hammonds. Also extremely overpriced for what it is, we opted to pay over the odds in the hope we would have a smooth stress free process…. Oh were we wrong.

I would highly advise against using Hammond’s for your furniture needs, instead support small business who actually care about the process, a lesson learnt the hard way

Really poor

Really poor. Paid £2000 for a garden set which took over a month to arrive and when it did arrive it has significant damage and I have had no response from the range.

Nearly one month after ordering and…

Nearly one month after ordering and still no indication as to the location of my order.

Endlessly tried to contact and kept getting generic responses. Clearly my order has been lost in transit and they are point blank refusing to help me in anyway.

Absolutely disgraceful company I will never been using them again and will be telling all bike fiends and groups to avoid like the plague.
